If you're short and aggressive, you'll make a fool out of yourself.

Once she has begun discussing other men with you, it's all over. Do yourself a favour and get your emotions under control. Find someone who will reciprocate. Source: 34 yr old male, been around that block before.

See it that way: you're neither in a happy relationship with her nor shagging her senseless...so you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. The worst thing that could happen is that she shoots you down - and that sort of rejection you'll have forgotten about by lunch time the next day.

People with less confidence than you will try to make you smaller, sure. Question is, do you want to be smaller?

in that vein, don't ask them 20 times what they would like to eat. ask them once, then maybe ask for a cuisine, then make a call.

Alpha. As. Fuck. This should be read out loud to all those mates of mine who don't manage to find a girl cause they are too timid.

I think that's a somewhat double-edged sword - it makes you personally stronger since you can communicate to a wider array of people...but it certainly impresses the ladies as well.

As someone who dresses well, is a good storyteller and speaks three languages fluently, I can confirm this is very true. It's easy to shine when you have an abundant and self-validated personality paired with a skill set. Work on this as early as you can while your mind is still flexible - languages become so much harder to learn once you've hit 30. Most of all, regardless of how skilled you are, don't become too cocky. Don't neglect self irony. You're just a hairless monkey that happens to be a…

Your place - many girls aren't comfortable with taking someone home to theirs, since it's easier to get up and leave than to tell someone to go.

Couldn't agree more. A former friend of mine went from AFC straight into marrying his first GF (who is ugly and boring as hell btw)...he knows my opinion on it, so he resorts to ignoring me these days. Be sure you know when to leave. Do not stick with a partner just because it worked out in the beginning and you're afraid to get back on the market!

Good on you for making her feel beautiful, that's how it's supposed to be. There's one thing I have to disagree on though - Flirt with your coworkers, good things happen In my experience, never, I repeat NEVER fish off the company wharf. Dip your pen in the company ink. You get the drift. Being over someone and having to see them and work with them on a daily basis is purgatory.

classic german tradition, i've known this for well over 10 years. nice anecdote: i told an AFC acquaintance of mine about this tradition...and he went "well, rather bad sex than no sex at all!" and looked away.

No one has ever said "oh no, I can't date him - he's too cool, sexy, and alpha-male for me". i have actually been turned down like that. friend of mine said, "you are too confident and smooth, i prefer artsy, struggling types" - didn't matter, we're great friends now and she gets along with my gf fine, so no awkwardness involved. just thought i'd mention this here, because, quite clearly, not all women go after alpha males.

happy to hear things are looking up, bro - be proud that you managed to pull yourself out of that hole...cause yes, while reading self-help stuff on an internet forum may have helped, it wasn't anyone who managed to score that girl apart from you yourself. booyaa!

a) maybe i'm more sensitive to this than many other people cause 1 of my ex partners is dead (died in a motorcycle accident) - then again, you can't know if she has had something like that happening in her life so i'd prophylactically treat lightly here... b) then i misread your statement of "I wont lie, I nearly jumped out of my chair" in your OP as being keen. sure did sound like that tho... anyhoo, i've been thinking about a recommendation on how to fix this for the past half hour and couldn'…

yea, well done indeed - now take a mental picture of how you feel and remind yourself when your subconscious wants to turn you into an AFC again :-)
