Funny, mods don't constantly monitor messages. We have lives too. You didn't get a response because of this, I just happened to see this post when going through your comments to link you to the one I banned you for. Relax. And bans require a warning? That's a new one. You're admitting yourself to calling people cunts, what part of 'this is a friendly space, and it will be kept that way' don't you understand? And I think you shouldn't be unbanned for how you're behaving about it.
In a post's comment section. It was not in the comment the OP linked to at all. He sent me a message asking why he was banned, and posted this thread before I even read it. Hilarious.
Funny, you didn't even wait for me to reply to your question of why you were banned before whining to /mensrights about it and making up your own reason. You were banned for calling people cunts. If you can't make your point without using gendered insults, we don't want you there.
I ban misandry as well as misogyny, but your selective eyes don't notice that, do they? By the way, you still haven't supplied any logic to back up your 'female domination' theory about me.
You'd be surprised... I hear a lot of men saying they wouldn't go for that because it makes them feel 'emasculated' for some reason. Then again, I wouldn't be interested in someone who thinks that way anyway, but still.
How stupid. I agree that men and women should be taking out the trash just as often, but it's really not comparable to sexually servicing all the men in the office.
Yeah, I didn't really expect that of you. Most people would think literal, physical abortion when just 'abortion' is said, rather than financial. I think it's important to specify, is all.
If my partner decided to stop taking her birth control one day, I'd like the right to abortion. Whoa there dude. Forced abortion? I'd like the right to disown responsibility for a unilateral choice of hers. There you go, that's better.
I don't know, can an abusive borderline personality disorder man really change? That's what the person sending the email asked, anyway: Can a person like this ever apologize? Can they really change?
It's not okay to act like a retard and hypocritically teach children one thing while teaching them the exact opposite as adults. Like teaching them that it's ok for you to hit them, but that they can't hit other people?
I don't want to 'preserve' anything, I just wanted to read those threads. Don't put words in my mouth if you don't want others doing the same to you. Thanks for those links, but that didn't happen in /2xc, which is what I was asking about.
People like me? Why would I take advantage of you... what's sad is whatever's made you become so defensive that you see compassionate thinking towards others as the mark of a 'sucker'.
It doesn't help that during that time I saw 'Attack of the Killer Tomatoes' which mentioned something in a review on the box that it had 'one of the best titles' ...stupid English. I should make a movie called "best title of the summer"... it really can't lose.
This reminds me of when I thought that people talking about the 'best title of the summer' actually liked the title of the movie, and not the movie itself. Stupid English...
Being bitter is great and all, but it's often misdirected to the entire gender of the person who wronged them, rather than just the person themselves. That needs to stop.
Awesome, good luck with it! I've wanted to teach something there, but afraid I wouldn't have the time. And it's hard to teach martial arts over the internet...
Ha, I always ask that when I hear women bragging about their fancy new engagement ring. Most of the time they get pretty offended but I do get pleasantly surprised sometimes :)
Are you an extreme MRA that thinks feminism is hate speech and that older women hate younger women for their sexuality? Then inabook isn't comparing this woman with you.
Why is it so many women think that men/boys "can't be raped?" No idea. Some men feel that way too, which is even weirder. I guess it's the basic line of thought society has that goes something like 'All men want sex at all times from anyone'
Well, I can see them. Saydrah hasn't banned anything there in quite awhile. Whenever we ban something, we vote on it and explain it in the comments as well.
This also happens when the MRA argument falls apart and it becomes clear that many of them are not about equality, but domination. Shit happens on both 'sides'.
Huh. Not sure what this has to do with MensRights. Does this mean complaints about shitty male fictional characters should go in /r/feminisms or the like?
Alright, my misunderstanding then, sorry! It happens with me. From your original post, it sounded to me like you meant girls ARE more fragile, deserve special consideration, etc, rather than, society THINKS they are, etc. Thanks :)
I don't use violence unless absolutely needed in defense situations, regardless of gender. So I'm not advocating violence at all, but... Why do you think women should be seen as better or less deserving of a violent reaction than men? You say It's different. There's no semantics to argue. But I'm not seeing how.
He has no concept that girls are particularly fragile, deserve special consideration, or are anything other than people. So he had it right? I mean, is that what you think?
Sexism doesn't need to involve something of a sexual nature, it can be about gender roles as well. Obviously the item itself isn't sexist, the 'woman's gift = kitchen things, man's gift = sports things' idea is.
Hm. the problem with MRAism is that they don't give a fuck about women and never have Does this work too? Or did you instead mean 'some' or maybe even 'many' feminists?
Whoa, hold on. The father wants to keep the baby, the mother doesn't. The baby is carried to term. Father gets custody, mother is absolved of all responsibility for the child. What if she doesn't want to carry it to term?
No, I'm 'blaming' you for saying most women are worthless pieces of shit because you had a bad experience with one of the bad ones. Don't you get tired of the 'man-hating feminists' who hate all men because of their bad experiences with some?
I think you need some serious help if you think all women are like this. Don't you hate generalizations against men? You know the ones we've all heard before. Why don't you be better than that?
Women don't seem to have any problem with Actually this bothers a lot of women. Not all of them, but there are people, men AND women, who use double standards. Generalization isn't helping anyone here.
Of course, personally I think we should all be fighting for equality together, not this 'men's side and women's side' shit... but just do what you can, eh? I will ;)
Yikes. at least my teacher helped me out with the gardening! I've noticed a weird obsession with lawns in the US too, it's really crazy. Like some kind of status thing.
Whatever. I did read the article, thanks. It just seems like useless preaching to the choir to tell the MensRights reddit that women do bad things too.
Personal biases? The headline highlighted that the woman did something, which everyone here knows happens (that is, women doing bad things), not the differences in sentences or media bias or anything like social commentary. So which is it?
any obligation to support the other parent should end with the marriage. What about special cases? For example, my friend's parents. The mother was fine and healthy until one day the father abused her (I don't want to go into the details how) and she is unable to walk or work now. They are divorced now of course. Do you think he should be paying to support her?
Well, what I was thinking was to offer genre specific book clubs or something, instead of saying 'girls/boys won't like this kind of stuff', or vice versa.
Great comment. :) But just to clarify, I meant 'sides' as men and women. Personally, I don't think of people as being on different sides, and wish we could just move for better human treatment for everyone. Ah, but I'm an idealist, I guess. We need to keep working.
I will. I know you've posted great articles in the past and I appreciate the effort, I really do. I'll I'm saying is that preemptive complaining won't help people take you seriously.
Yeah, that's pretty fucked up. However. It's an airhead women's channel. No one intelligent I know watches that shit. Much like the airhead men's channels. This doesn't make it right, that's not what I'm saying... but there are bigger things to focus on.
Hm... hypothetically, what if the man wanted to keep the child, but the woman didn't want to take care of it, but wouldn't necessarily want to abort. Would she also be able to sign off in the same manner?
All I'm saying is feminism is about equality for everyone, and many who claim to be feminists aren't, if they're after whatever benefits women. That's not feminism.
In my experience, women tend to get work done much more efficiently... I guess if you hired 'The View' type women, it would be like your vision, though.
