I’m not divorced yet but I feel like I’m just being held hostage in my own despair. With that being said thank you for your story, it makes me feel like I can someday get through mines too.

When your partner respects you, they would decline such advances right away. However, some individuals enjoy the attention; it acts as a dopamine boost for them. Ultimately, it's crucial to have an open conversation with your partner about how such situations make you feel. Establishing clear boundaries can help foster a healthier relationship dynamic.

I’m in the same boat brother, my STBX had an emotional affair during our separation. She told me she stopped talking to him and wanted to try to work it out with me. 2 months in and she ended up dropping the “I don’t think it’s going to work out” line on me. I find out a couple days later, she’s talking to the same person. Honestly as much as it hurts, it feels like the weight has been lifted off my shoulders. If it wasn’t now, it could’ve been later. Good riddance.

In times of inner conflict, it's essential to give yourself space for reflection and self-care. Journaling can help sort through emotions, and seeking activities that bring you joy and peace can provide a welcome distraction. Remember, it's okay to prioritize your own happiness and well-being, even if it means making difficult decisions.

I agree, I hate to admit I was one of them. It was only until my feelings and opinions weren’t supported and validated. That’s when I knew I had to change and therefore leave, it was hard, the heart and the mind fighting one another.

That part “if they don’t healthily respect (i.e., fear) you, then they’ll progress into disdaining you” To be quite honest the respect part is a huge thing. As men I feel like we choose respect first over love. A lack of respect can cause dismissive behaviors to an outright disregard for one's feelings or opinions; These instances may feel small at first, but when left unchecked, they can chip away at the foundation of trust and mutual regard that partnerships usually need to thrive.

I generally give myself a 7 second rule to just go up and approach after making eye contact with a smile, honestly those two indicators is enough for me to know that they’re curious as well. Just have fun and don’t have any expectations, the chase is always the best part.

I know right, this is insane. I hope this man finds his peace thru this chaos. This is just outright absurd.

Ain’t that the damn truth, I wish I signed a prenup! After a couple months I got married, I hit the jackpot in Vegas. She didn’t even want to gamble and I convinced her to play a slot machine with me and it hit, 500k. Now I’m fucked.

general consensus: GYM, I can’t tell you how much it just helps, release endorphins, you look good, feel good. Especially when people start noticing and complimenting you without fishing for it.

It was pretty subtle, I was browsing thru their booth, there was some freebies at the table and she made a remark, I don’t remember what she said this was like 12 years ago lol. But my homie saw everything and was like why didn’t you follow up on that. I thought about it and kicked myself for not doing anything atm but she ended up walking around the con and I bumped into her again and I ended up grabbing her number and eventually went on a date and closed afterwards.

Unless you’re steaming on twitch and making boatloads of money, I’d stay home and play video games, other than that, live a little and see where the night takes you, alone (or maybe with someone you pick up unexpectedly)?
