That's horrible. I support equal rights, and equal responsibilities, for all, men and women. As long as we are equally horrified if a male gang member who took part in an awful torturous murder called for lower sentencing for men, I think we're intellectually honest. Otherwise, we can't be certain of our own credibility.

The jury brings regular people into the courtroom, for good or for ill. If you want to get better juries, a better citizen is the way, not authoritarian and simplistic punishments with tremendous potential for unintended consequences. Education is one of the best things a society can do for itself, and that is no less true in the jury box. Remember what you said here the next time you hear about an offender who was able to commit another nasty crime because a jury set him free. That's the sort o…

You've laid out one of the basic tensions in our system of justice, but none of it justifies the regrettable jury idea you laid out above. Liability for jurors destroys the purpose of juries entirely - an institution put in place by our Constitution. It degrades our ideals of citizenship and civic duty, and it creates one more systemic problem in an already woefully flawed criminal justice system.

That is an absolutely horrific idea. You'd be requiring a "not guilty" verdict, or forcing jurors to risk liability for finding as they think is right. You'd be further degrading the already-tenuous legitimacy of the jury, and setting free defendants who almost certainly committed their crimes simply because the case wasn't 9,000%+ ironclad.

I don't see any reason this doesn't apply to all people, regardless of sex or orientation.

The what fuck? FFRF hasn't sent me a goddamned thing about anything but legal challenges to religious encroachment on secular society, and some temple of reason they're building.

Pretty sure Switzerland is a civil code country, so they possibly avoid some of the inconsistencies of broad judicial discretion that happens with common law stuff. Sounds like their legislature has some work to do, though....

most people, when their deepest views are challenged, dig in, until they notice inconsistencies... They will try to indoctrinate me I think I noticed an inconsistency! For me, men's rights is about restoring balance, not setting up a safe space. Listen to the lectures, be open, and any bullshit anyone tries to lay on you will be obvious enough that you don't need to be on your guard to counter it.

To be fair, it often sucks ass to be the guy expected to do the thing all the time. If I knew I had a free pass, I might use it once in a while.

So much faggotry on this thread. You don't have to denigrate women to attempt to fit political bullshit into the sub. There's more than enough videos of slapfights and police beatdowns to fill this sub without your tiresome horseshit.

This post is a great example of how much this sub sucks. 35% relevant, quality posts, 65% uninteresting, irrelevant, or just boringly misogynist shitposts. And this one's baldly political, too. I come here to see crazy-ass women receive just desserts, frequently of the law enforcement or streetfight variety, not to read posts by basement-dwelling futanari enthusiasts who just plain hate women. There's nothing interesting about that.

How does a vagina walk? Is it bipedal? Does it squinch along like an inchworm? Is it more of a snail-like constant squirm/flutter? Does it simply wait for birds of prey to lift it, mistaking it for a delectable furry creature, then drop it further along its path?
