Congrats, I came up with the same conclusions by simply looking at some ig accounts of girls that you described. Sometimes they post pics without makeup and by now I understand that almost every woman with a thick layer on her face looks very average after she washes all that off. Without makeup they get pretty insecure just like any other person. I have the same feelings about gym guys.
