I fought for primary custody and won. No alimony. I receive minimal child support (112 per month) I moved an hour an hour away and now she only sees them once a month. She just texted me today about how much debt she is in. I pour every cent into raising my kids. I would not have it any other way. I have my family. She has our old house that is still in my name because she can’t refinance.

Did it asap. Took a zip tie and attached it to her key chain. She kept wearing hers.

I initiated my divorce because she would not even though she was the one cheating. She wanted an open marriage but that was a non-starter for so any reasons. I now have primary custody or our 2 kids and when anything I comes up about the divorce she says that I am the one that divorced her. This was after I pleaded for counseling and trying to work things out for over a year.

I got my kids full time. Hard yes - expensive yes. No dating or anything for me but watching them grow up and being everything to them is priceless.

Its called alienation of affection. That’s what you will likely file as. Her only counter is the abuse angle. My ex tried to take pictures of bruises she said I did on her arms. I called the police and had it documented. I have the kids now primary custody and she pays me child support. I did not want to be out of the family. No way in hell I am paying for it and only getting weekends.

Women have a much better chance of re-marriage and tend to benefit from a divorce financially more than Men.

I was In the same exact situation. It gets better and your kids will eventually realize who was there for them.

She sounds narcissistic to me. I have lots of experience on that with my ex. . Just pull the trigger. It will be hard but you need to happy.

If she has she would never admit it. Right before I moved I could tell there was something wrong between them but who knows. He was taking on a lot of responsibility because she did not work and relied 100% on my income.

You are exactly right. I believed the whole Disney Fantasy as well. We are legally divorced now. It has been about 2 years since I left. I have full legal custody of the kids because of some statements she made to me via text as well as her unusual behavior. She gets supervised visitation only. In order to get weekends all she has to do is get a psyc exam. It has been close to a year and she says she has the exam done but never sends it to the judge therefore per judges ruling I can not let them…

This post is 100% correct. Same thing happened to me. Wife of 10 years and together for 19 just up and had an affair. I asked to go to counseling and she said no because she wanted an open marriage. I tried to work it out for a year while she continued to see him. She then told me she loved him and not me. I pulled his background report and he has two arrests for drug distribution. I took the kids and moved. It’s like once she turned 39 she became a different person.

If you owned the home before you were married and you never put her on the deed then it should be your separate asset. You don’t have to pay for back payments on anything. If you have to split the property then you buy her out of the appraised value or sell and split the proceeds. If she is not on title and you had it before you were married then the property is yours.

I would document as much as you can; start proceedings retain custody until she gets it together. Kids will adapt. You will worry your self to death. Qualifications: married 10 years. Together for20 total 2 kids 8 and 4. My wife is having an affair as we speak and does not care. I need her for one more year to take care of my little one. Then I can do it my self. I have been going g through this for a year.

Thanks for the advice I really don't have money. I can initiate a divorce my self in NC. Not sure if that's really good or not. I don't think she'll fight me on anything but I m sure people have been burned in the past on that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
