Some really great points, OP. About the use of look-enhancements: If I could wear make-up I'd easily jump 2 points on the 10-scale. (I have amazing bone structure.) Oh, I agree. I was just trying to say that if you depend on television, a liberal arts degree, and hang with other beta's you never really learn how to be a man. I'd argue that the "far right" you're describing is actually 'middle-right' these day - the neo-conservatives that highjacked the Rep. party in 1980. The far right nowadays is the Libertarian wing (Ron & Rand Paul, Koch, etc.) I like to think of myself as a Libertarian at the federal level and a Democrat at the state and local level.

Yeah... the sexual abuse cycle is a weird one. I'm sure 90% of the cases you hear have to do with TRP theory. Just bitches being bitches. I hear ya. I don't want to believe that this is the way things are, lol. But... I've been going through my memory over the last week or so of every relationship and dating situation I've been involved in and why it ended. 1/2 the time it was my decision, but in every other instance where the girl lost interest or ended it herself I can trace it to some of TRP theory. You're right. It's tough to confront some of this stuff.

Man, I'm kind of a skeptic of TRP and mostly lurk in here. I was a sociology major in college so this kind of stuff interests me; as well as feminism. But this post hit me.
