Scared to raise daughterYou'll be fine. With your daughter being 2 years old, there will be a lot of "at the moment" emotions, but as long as it's not some huge traumatic event (and divorce/separation at the age of 2 isn't), she will completely bounce back and not remember it when she is older. It's more important how you spend your time with your daughter, as that time will be more impactful since it will be continuous. The more you stress about the separation, the more it may come out during your time with your daugh… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/04/26 09:18 PM
Wife won’t remove name from line of credit despite court orderI have no idea how Canada works with this, but can't you contact the bank and have yourself removed from the line of credit? With court order and proof of payment to ex available if they ask. You can probably sue her, but if the bank is willing to comply since there is a court order involved then it could be an easy out. If that fails then you will most likely have to get a lawyer involved to sue her and possibly have a court order to the bank to remove you instead of her removing you. Although … | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/02/24 07:13 PM

Split Custody - still pay child support? And they justify it because they're just trying to "protect themselves". I hear that statement so often from the other side. I'm pretty sure I heard that 2 times this week already. I wasn't married and we never lived together. For me, it was just about custody and support. But I can still see how a lot of what you said still applies. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/21 10:22 PM
Split Custody - still pay child support? What's with them and just trying to take control without reason? Mine requested we do joint (because she was losing the full legal custody battle), but she would be the final decision maker if we don't agree. Which doesn't really make sense so it didn't pass. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/21 09:30 PM
Split Custody - still pay child support? So true. I deal with similar issues where I need to do leg work. Even made the court order that I do some of it. And then tries to make everything around her area and her convenience. But I work 40 hours during the day and she works about 24 hours a week during the night. So she has more free time during the day when all these efforts need to be applied. | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/21 08:37 PM
Split Custody - still pay child support?Good point. It's typically not worth fighting about it when it's already calculated out and the other party wants as much as they can get no matter what. I just meant for clarity on what goes into the calculator. I know in CA we use a calculator called the Dissomaster and the gov website has a version of it. I just didn't know what counts and what doesn't. Ex would argue that daycare should not be inputted into the calculator since she does not use the service and it's only in my custodial time.… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/21 08:17 PM
Split Custody - still pay child support? This is very important to keep in mind. And it can all vary by state laws. For example, in CA, if health insurance for your child is paid by you in any way then half of that money will directly hit against CS. It's the same with daycare. If you were to pay for daycare or after-school child care only for the time you would have your child, then half of it counts against the child support. Even if mom is not using the daycare service. You can ask your lawyer for more details if there is anything y… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/09/21 06:59 PM
Am I in the wrong?100% agree. Her response was defensive. Calmly figure out what you need to do, but do not think you were wrong because she is choosing to be aggressive and defensive about the situation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/03/21 03:58 AM
