Go with those firms that offer the free first consultation. Simply google them. Do that with more than three firms so that you can compare the price. Do not move to another State before filing. I (F) was living in NYC. Wanted to get away from my STBXH ASAP. Moved to NJ before filling. The biggest and worst mistake I ever made. Turned out that I was not qualified to file in NY any longer as I don’t live there anymore. In order to file in NJ, I had to meet their residency requirement, meaning I ne…

I (soon-to-be divorced 36F) don’t have kids and don’t want to have them in the future either. I want to date a guy who is like-minded, but no where to find one in my experience. 🤷‍♀️

Sorry that I can’t give you any advice. I am not a man. Don’t have kids either. I am going through a divorce, but in a totally different situation. Like you said, it’s never easy.

So, she didn’t submit the information about her debt. Hence, it didn’t count as marital debt? Going through divorce right now. Any info is appreciated. My ex is in debt, and I am worried that I might be held accountable for it even though it’s all in his name (yes, he did accumulate those debts during the marriage unfortunately).

I am sure that people get divorce for a variety of reasons. I am a woman. If my husband were feeling that unhappy being with me, at least I would want him to tell me that. But, at that same time I would definitely notice the indifference from him. Your wife might have already sensed that something is wrong.

He got arrested by NYPD for domestic violence against me. Yeah, he beat the shit out of me cos he is a raging alcoholic. Since the arrest, he has been to 12 different rehabs at 18 separate occasions. Yes, he went to some of the rehabs more than twice. Why can he afford to use a rehab as a shelter? Cos he is still covered by my health insurance. I provided him a place to live, food to eat, and clothes to wear. “He gave up his career to further yours”? I got my job on my own. No one else did it fo…

I am 35F going through a divorce rn. I don’t get some people’s entitlement. What’s yours is mine? Fuck that. I keep mine, and you keep yours. Things should be that simple really.
