How is that different? If your SO dumps you, sorry but you weren't as good enough for him/her as the person they dumped you for because if that was the case then they wouldn't do that. That's just how the cookie crumbles. If you're in a relationship and someone can attract your SO away from an established relationship then the first thing you gotta do is look inward. What did I do wrong? Why him/her and not me? Assuming you did nothing wrong and couldn't do better is more harmful in the long run…

Yeah obviously there has to be a problem with someone if they want to date someone older. /s

I think it takes pretty uncommon traits to get married, stay married in this day in age and be completely fulfilled. Marriage isn't for everyone, people just can't accept that.

I think PPD has exhausted all the questions it could asks and anyone on here is just looking to reaffirm their viewpoint.

I envy some of you guys, you guys have the time to think about garbage and give half assed reasons for it. I wish I had this much free time.

Most people on r/TRP don't want to get better they just want to rant about how life is unfair to them. I mean you have all the tools to do better but don't want to use them. Doesn't make sense to me.

I don't think there's some kind of hard and fast rule when it comes to relationships. People are different and their relationships are different. Sure you can spot trends but at the end of day your reason for doing something might be different for another persons reason even if you carried out the same action.

LTR I guess. Once they decide the relationship is good enough then looks start getting less important more so the longer the relationships last.

Insanity. This sub is people asking the same questions over and over again expecting different answers. I just assumed that people coming to a debate sub would have a more nuanced view of things at the end of the day but clearly thats too much to ask.

I think looks don't matter has some truth to it. Once women settle looks start mattering less and less so they seem to think that it didn't matter all that much at all because well women don't have to work as hard to keep a relationship going.

I actually believe women are oppressed. I guess this whay makes me purple instead of red. I think overall women don't have it much better than men when it comes to a large amount of systemic power but I will say that the more egalitarian our society becomes the more of an advantage women seem to have in social interactions. Hopefully men develop a sense of self worth in response to this.

I think women in general have a skewed sense of what is average but what can you do about it besides hitting the gym. Trying to convince someone that something is attractive is almost as hard to convince them to change political parties. Its near impossible.

I didn't say the tides weren't turning. Right now men have it better but their privileges(God I hate that word.) are becoming less and less. I can see society being very different 15-30 years from now but currently men have it better because they have greater access to social and economic ability. It's easier for men to get power than for women.

When were saying men or women we are talking about groups and in comparing those groups you'll find women have all sorts of disadvantages that far outweigh their advantages. Socioeconomically men are just better off, now I'm not saying each and every man is richer than every woman but when looking at groups men generally have more power than women in the form of money. Men also have a bunch of social advantages that women may never have such as being taken more seriously.

That's not even something someone from TRP would do. That's just socially retarded. No where does TRP say "Hey, you see that cute chick over there go insult her. It'll make her wet." Strawmanning at it's finest.

It's because women and men act differently and society treats them differently. I'm not even from TRP but this should be obvious.

I assumed that's what you were going for all along but I still think that given other social factors (Value of independence and freedom, The current idea of family, fear of being seen as gay etc...) you'd be hard pressed to find these sort of relationships materializing. Is it possible? Yes but I don't think it's going to be some widespread thing. I mean the sort of situation you are describing is already happening in Japan but instead of women living together or men living together, most of the…

I disagree because body has a lot to do with how your face looks. The most facially good looking people also have their weight in control.

I think it'd take a very long time (Nowhere in the near future) to move to the kind of model you are suggesting may take place, if it even takes place, simply because the patriarchal frame work most people live their lives is such a dominant facet of our lives. We live in a world where young women are usually making more than young men but men are still expected to pay for the dates, people are not rational actors. It'd take some serious financial and societal strains before people start really …

Feminism relationship with Marxism is something I actually dislike because comparing women as a class to men is not analogous to the comparing the rich and the poor. Nor is saying black people are oppressed the same way women as a group are. It's one reason I dislike feminism as a movement in it's current state is that it uses disingenuous rhetoric like this to push it's agenda. Feminist relationship with Marxism is simply using the framework of a pretty good model of oppression and editing the …

It's very possible that there would be an increase in women who aren't in a relationship together sharing a home because that's what being a roommate is called. This is honestly some of the idiotic piece of writing I've seen someone go to such lengths to write. People don't get married for purely financial reasons and people won't stop getting married because there's some sort of shift in male power towards female power. Yeah there's less early marriage but this is common when there are economic…

I find this a really funny question to ask because this is essential Dread game lite if someone has a lot of friends of the opposite gender that they are frequently involved with.

Because the idea of being "tricked" is repulsive to most people, especially when it's something so dear to them as a relationship. It's a clear lie that people tell themselves when they say "They could never be tricked." People think they are smarter than they usually are and feel like they could sniff the bullshit even they couldn't. Hindsight is 20/20 yo. I don't understand how people sit there and say RP is manipulative then be surprised when people are manipulated. That's just dumb. It's lik…

I actually think it's odd that TRP is so against feminism when most women aren't feminist. Actually rather than say they aren't feminist...they don't fully put into practice their feminist ideals.
