How would one go about opening up the kind of advice and mentor process with their father? I don't have that kind of relationship with my dad and he takes the stance of, "If you don't know ask." But I don't know the questions to ask, where would I start?

Thank you for this. I've been struggling on how to help my younger brother achieve his goals and the thought process between that mentor/older brother role. The perspective you've written here has helped me shape an approach and direction.

I've come to hate the word "nice" to me it comes from a place of weakness and expectation. I much prefer the word "kind" because to me it comes from a source of strength. One cannot be "kind" without being strong, to give without expectation. Just my 2¢

Damn that's good. I have a couple of friends that we do something similar to this. It's partly dicking around (talking about girls and partying) because we just started really working and graduated from college a couple years ago. But we've started getting more serious and started maintaining the group with overarching career goals, how to achieve them, where we want to go career/life wise, how we've maintained sanity with hobbies/fitness etc., other updates in our lives and sharing the things w…

Does that 45-60 minute time frame include rest between sets? Or is it total workout time from first exercise to last? I'm curious because I used to do shorter super set workouts but with how busy the gym has been recently I've been pushing anywhere to 60-90 mins depending on how quickly I can get to the equipment.

Lmfao that is hilarious! It's interesting to consider that both of them are in their thirties singing about the hardship of finding someone. Like a satire of their present situation perhaps? Good find.

I recommend reading this field report: http://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/1xvcq6/true_smv_vs_perceived_smv/ and I'll quote the top comment: Perceived SMV is the only SMV. Whatever I think I'm worth does not matter if no one else is buying. It does matter the kind of job you get out of college but it is more important that you own it. Like a blacksmith, you've got to grind out every day perfecting your craft till you're the best at it. That's the way I've approached my career life post c…

http://illimitablemen.com/2014/04/13/monk-mode/ Work on yourself and your life outside of work, have a hobby that you love that isn't tied to work, and travel somewhere you've never been or wanted to go. Sometimes it takes the "worst" break up of our lives to learn the boundaries you'll draw in the future if the next girl in your life tries to mistake your kindness for weakness.

Let it happen organically. Some of the best friends I've made were hanging out, playing intramural sports in college, and of course getting into trouble. Still keep in touch with them when I can. I just hooked one of my friends up with an interview opportunity. Funny too because I'm still at the bottom of the totem pole in my current job.

Great post. As an attorney I would think you have a pretty sizable network to tap into. I'm currently stuck in a cube and actively working to build skills to break out. It's a longer process than starting out the gate like some post college grads but life's a marathon, we can make it brah. Any tips for increasing ones network? Also would you recommend Keith Ferazzi's Never Eat Alone book?

I'd like to hear your theory out if you do write it. Game is an equalizer. But I think you need both if you want to pull in an effortless manner.

Bad idea. Long term gf or not you want to have the ability to run soft-dread on her every once in a while. You can't really do that if you're sharing the same home. Also if you seriously are saying that: Two women to make dinner are better than one. Two women to keep the apartment clean are better than one. Bro you've got issues. Stop being lazy and own it. A man should be able to provide for himself, from finances to sustenance.

That was the point of the post. Going with the flow is great and everything but you're not being a man and taking control of your own path. You're letting others dictate it for you without influencing the outcome. It just was a point of interest because I know quite a few guys who are "chill" but these guys are just in the background. They don't stand out in any way or influence their world in any manner.

My primary focus has been more my fitness and career atm. I suppose there is no reason to lag on game either. I have a greater level of outcome independence now than even a year ago. But it's to be worked on. Funny enough I have a white board in my room with a my short term goals and my long term goal that I see every morning. Helps to keep that motivation going. How did you get out of your head and into actually doing? What humbled you to work on rebuilding yourself? Thanks for the quality repl…

It does comes back to women being more emotional creatures. Stir their emotions and get them hooked. I've been making strides to getting towards my ideal self. I've got my vision for my professional career, personal life and spiritual life. Just working on them baby steps to get there. Sometimes the daily grid takes its toll on you, but I try to maintain a positive balance and always put in, even a little bit, to the foundation of my future success. What makes it better is when your bros are pus…

Excellent point. It is a part of that finding what kind of girl you'd just want to bang or one to keep around.

Surprised your reply isn't higher up. I agree with you, prioritize your life, happiness, and be in control of that emotional tempo. Saving that small gem.

Positive flow. Good stuff man. Me and my boys had some issues with our careers since we're at the beginning of our grind. But whenever we're at that low point one of us will tell the other "Hey man, it's all in your mind. Only you can make yourself feel that way."

I'm looking through my social circles to find the guys that are more red pill to hang out with and to emulate till I find my style. Sometimes it takes putting those chicks on the pedestal and getting walked over to really open your eyes. But like /u/FakeAlsoFake mentioned it's possible that one time can really fuck you up to the point of not being able to have a normal relationship. Cheers! Drinks for the boys!

This is helpful! My buddy is getting over a chick but for a guy like him I don't think he should be hung up about it. He's being blue pillish but I'm thinking this is a an opportunity for him to take the red pill.

Great advice. Thank you sir! I will try this when we go out, do a bit of people watching.
