Ohhh buddy have I got a story for you. Listen, I pursued an HR degree in the past but I couldn't land a summer internship and saw how they basically saw that I'm a straight male and immediately would do a quick 10 minute interview just for fun and then give me a quick rejection letter the next day. I didn't continue with the HR degree because I knew they were looking for someone with a vagina or a male with little to no testosterone (i.e. effeminate or gay or transgender). I wish you posted this…

Plus they have western men craving for them so the fact that they’re leftover is because of their western feminism in most cases. A lot of these come from the “i have a career to maintain so I don’t wanna have kids” crowd. I met a lady from Sichuan in a previous job I had, very nice lady. We became good friends when I was working there. Anyway, she didn’t have kids until very late in her life and while she was in China she was quite promiscuous haha interesting woman.

When women scream about equal rights, they mostly just mean “give me your well paying jobs but not your patriotic duty.” It’s like how women scream about sexism and equal rights but barely any of them want to work in “dirty” professions like sanitation, auto mechanics, and etc. It’s just a nice way for them to scream for “give me your 6 figure office jobs!”

I don’t ask about their marital status lmao. What r you nuts? Thats an automatic rejection. They’d have a wedding ring or I just google their name before or after the interview. I’d find their wedding website or their socials and they’d have photos of their husband. That’s how I know.

I have a story to back up what you just said. I once had a female boss and she was surrounded by guys (including me, but I worked under her obviously). As time goes on, she was being more and more aggressive to basically compensate for her femininity. I get it, she wanted to tighten grip on power. However, it just goes to show, just because they're women, it doesn't make them less susceptible to the whims of human nature and political (office politics) forces.

Perhaps. Could be that the field I'm in has been taken over by women so now they want to model the folks they hire to look like them - which is in fact a real phenomenon I learned in an organizational psychology course I took once upon a time.

I've had female bosses before, don't get me wrong. Like I said, I've only really noticed this recently because I'm out of work right now and interviewing. I noticed it the previous time I was out of work but not to this extent. There is something clearly happening here. I hope you don't lose your job but if you do ever become unemployed and start interviewing, you should revisit this thread and let me know your experience. Seriously, I'm curious if myself and others are just seeing things lol

The thing with this logic is that I don't see how they really "benefit," (at least not in the financial sense because gay, women, minorities, etc. are just demanding top dollar pay lol, with the exception being mfg jobs), unless it's to play us against each other (i.e. divide & conquer), and the latter is entirely possible.

There are a lot of things in the US that are obviously happening but not "confirmed by data." But all you need to do is step outside your house. For example there is no way in living hell that the unemployment number is as low as it is purported to be. Again, all you need to do is just step outside your house and drive to Main Street and see all the homeless people pushing their shopping carts around. Oh and lo and behold, the number of jobs created has been revised month after month after month…

Exactly, agreed on both. I rarely see men in HR nowadays, point blank, let alone gay or straight lol. Men are getting etched out of the economic picture. Has this always happened? I'm not a recent grad, I'll be 40 soon. However, I haven't noticed this issue until recently.

That's very plausible. When's the last time you've seen a straight male working in HR? I literally haven't seen one in almost a decade and he was at a defense firm so most likely they hired him because he was a veteran. If he wasn't a veteran they would've thrown his resume into the trash after they met him and heard how straight he was.

They will never say they look at "superficial" things like race, age, or etc. It's against the law here in the US to do that. We have many laws against it, most notably the Civil Rights Act of 1964. But it's very obvious that there's something going on right now with this women vs men battle in the white collar realm. There's less and less men working these roles.

Ohh yes I've heard of the phenomenon but not of the term. People in the US call it "DEI". DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The US Supreme Court just banned affirmative action so it will be interesting to see what happens going forward. But it kinda feels like it's having the opposite effect. But corporations have so much power in the US, they can do whatever the hell they like. They usually leave hiring decisions down to the team, there are very little guardrails in place.
