Eh If you're not looking for a friend, then thats not what you're looking for. Seems immature and unrealistic to expect that "putting on a play" for someone would actually be noticed, and not just come off as weird and end up exhausting you and discouraging you when you realize your dream isn't going to happen that way. Not to say that it couldn't happen, but it shouldn't be expected, much less invested in. I would say to still be friends though because friends are good to have. And the entire s…

Well said. That's very insightful, and I definitely agree with you. I'd just add to that by saying that although just "going with the flow" isn't going to get you very far very quickly, there are still certain things that you can't change that need to be in line for things to work out. You can make interactions pleasant but if you're really into being active and she's a stay at home type, it'll be a rough relationship if you continue to pursue her. Not to say that it's impossible, but how much y…

I can't speak much about the hooking up part, but just be a friendly dude by day and make conversation whenever possible. You never know what opportunities you might be missing, and in my personal experience all of my close friends have been made this way. This is not to say you should build a social circle and make connections, but rather that you should put yourself out there without necessarily going the extra mile to actually follow up and become friends.

Jesus Christ, what a clusterfuck. "Men tend to be happier than women past middle age" is on the table, and BOOM both sides are throwing wild extrapolations and personal attacks. Dude totally owned the girl, but it had more to do with emotional fortitude than actual wit. He personally attacked her on national television...not classy at all.

The whole point of seduction is to create a genuine emotional connection between you and the other person No. Seduction is a means to an end, and for most guys in the PUA community that's getting laid. A point that I can pursue though, is building attraction. But building attraction is much more than just creating an emotional bond. I can build attraction with a hot body. I can build attraction with social proof. I can build attraction by playing with her emotions. In fact, some guys have unbeli…

I suppose the question we should be asking is "how big is your university?" Personally, my school is barely a moderate size, but its well over large enough that I don't really have to worry about one girl's opinion of me as a creep to affect my chances with other ladies. This was mentioned in an earlier thread as well, but at university a super easy way to meet and grow close to people is to form study groups, or just study together even if you're not interacting. Initiate a conversation in clas…

...in the context of the lives of most of the people here... I can see what you're saying. I'm not saying these are useless techniques, I'm saying that most people here aren't going to properly use them. Take it with a grain of salt, and don't go gossiping like a teenage girl because you read about it once. If you're going to use it, use it right. I'm not interested in a back and forth internet discussion, so thanks for your input, and I hope you appreciate what I have to say.

This is an interesting and very in depth article. But in the context of the lives of most of the people here, it's not applicable, and can be very misguiding. "Playing games" (gossiping, mind games, challenges of masculinity) is a sign of immaturity. There are proper contexts for exercising the tactics discussed in the article, but for the most part I don't think this is something a high quality man would be interested in engaging in.

That's a valid point, but what's more useful advice to a dry dude that just wants to get laid NOW? Tell him to spend the next year becoming a better person and then try again, or show him how things work so he can practice until it comes to him naturally?
