1	Help! We were engaged but never married and have two kids so it’s not a divorce but instead for paternity, child support, timesharing and parental responsibility. BM had me served the day after Christmas of 2021 after (we split in November) and I had contacted mediators for us but she declined and chose this route instead. 1	Help! Perhaps you are correct but for clarification; 14 months yes, but not a single thing accomplished (no paternity, nothing filed aside from “extensions of time” and the initial “answer”.) Regarding the husband, I made the mistake of rushing into hiring the attorney as I felt clueless to the situation and under a limited amount of time since I was served the day after Christmas and many lawyers were on vacation.
