Yeah, the concerns MRA's have been raising for years were never to be taken seriously before. However when it's her son put through it? Suddenly it's a big deal. And the worst part? I don't think she'll broaden her views from this incident. In the long run it will probably not make her stop and think.

Yeah their camera work could use a bit of polish. However due to the exposure they've gotten due to the literal insanity demonstrated by the U of T protestors I think they will have a lot of room to shine in the near future. My appreciation and compliments to them. In a world which is beginning to shock even me, more rational people need to step up and do what these good people are doing.

The boys moving about the classroom and the young girl with ADHD should have been left alone IMHO. Some people (boys a bit more in general but girls as well) need to move about to think. Even now as an adult I actually tend to pace when i'm brainstorming.

Yeah that's not even my concern it's simply the reaction to the response she gave. Even then a male role model is still likely a benefit simply because exposure to a role model of your own / the opposite sex is still a benefit in learning how to socialize with them and realizing they are not all violent and or crazy and anyone implying they are has issues. I've made nothing up my friend. Simply said what wounds / methods of attack she used, how many times she used them etc etc. In ANY situation people find someone getting stabbed almost thirty times suspicious. Compound that with cutting the victims throat and shooting them and we are clearly into overkill territory. I am making assumptions that her actions are incredibly suspicious and throw her self defense claim into serious doubt. Trying to say it's probably an over-reactive self defense can only go so far. Sorry but that's reality. EDIT: I was using it as an actual example of self defense over-reaction. Pulling a trigger until you run out of ammo.

Self defense is self defense. Mutilating a body? Not quite self defense. Very suspicious infact. Overreaction? Again, please be honest here. It was far from an over-reaction. Emptying an entire pistol magazine in self defense is an over-reaction if the first two shots did the job, but it is understandable. Choosing not one, but three different ways to try and someone is and should be a glaring cause of serious freaking suspicion for the self defense argument.

Can't say I've read those. Loved the "His dark materials" Trilogy when I was younger. Blows Harry Potter out of the water imho. Lyra and Will make for intersting Protagonists. (The movie "the golden compass" was very lukewarm because it was highly toned down)

Dunno. Stabbing someone 25+ times, slitting their throat, and shooting them, followed by fumbling about taking pictures and then attempting to hide the murder weapons seems pretty Sociopathic to me. Hell one of my favorite heroines is Aya Brea of Parasite eve for the Playstation 1. Sort of like a action horror RPG based in some degree on biological science.The protag Aya has to fight off these bizzarre creatures who mutated because their mitochondria was somehow hijacked to take over the cell structure. As far as sexism and the entire damsel in distress line of thinking. It's bull. There are literally so many games with so many characters and so many stories that it should be thrown out of the window. However if one views things narrowly enough and cherry picks hard enough..... However I will agree to the often needlessly skimpy female costumes.
