Yes. It is much more enjoyable taking the male role when you know your partner is comfortable with it. Taking the lead, making decisions for the both of you, being sexually aggressive, being protective etc is all extremely difficult to do when you've been conditioned to be apologetic and ashamed of your wants and needs.
