Can you point to any of those studies? Everything I've ever read or watched has pretty much agreed on high reps for endurance, medium for hypertrophy and low reps for strength. Alongside the idea that to get better at lifting heavy things (strength) you should lift heavy things. Point us in a direction

It's not all bad advice can you critique it

I've consumed so much content regarding discipline and motivation that I'm immune to it. I find myself physically incapable of thinking about my past or future for the stress and dread it brings. I had every opportunity to succeed and squandered it and my youth all for nothing other than weed and video games and self hatred. Therapy is too expensive and socialization is impossible because I lack experiences and have nothing to share. How do I un give up

Imo you'll get better comments if you mention what she did and provide more context

Seems too overt and cringe. That's my first impression anyways

Hey man, I'm in basically the same position as you. Similar at least insofar as the dopamine addiction and general listlessness from a young age, you can check my recent post history for that. If you're interested, you can read the comments i received. They were pretty helpful imo. One thing that one of them said that stuck out is that it's MUCH more difficult to feel that depressive aura while you're in the middle of being productive or getting something done. On reflection, this was almost alw…

Exactly me. And yeah, you're right.

You're right, i don't really know what I'd do though. Other than solving my crippling financial situation I've dug by leaving my job i guess. Idk what else to say. Sorry. Thank you for your input

That's awesome man. I see what you're saying, i used to joke as a teenager that i was going to force myself down my depression until i reached insanity haha. Surely insanity would be better than what i was feeling. I too am too lazy to kill myself, also terrified of the concept of not existing. I really relate a lot, that actively giving up to force SOMETHING to happen has been me since January, but i get high a lot so i guess that makes it harder for me to really feel anything. Idk what else to…

I know man, i know. I've done the reading, mental masturbation is my specialty. I know discipline is what matters. Making reachable goals and meditating and shit. I've tried taking the reasonable route with productivity apps and shit. It's not that I've never tried i guess, i just lost in the same boring idc way every time. Disciplining myself is the very thing that I've failed at my entire life and i need discipline to change so what is there for me to do? I'm sure there's a fallacy in that log…

Thank you though guys. My long comment sounded like i was blowing you guys' advice off but I'm just kind of upset haha. I really meant that it's the right advice

I was working as a delivery driver, quarantine didn't affect anything really. Small part of my car broke and i just haven't fixed it in likefour months

You're all correct, all of you lol. That's all the right advice someone in my situation needs. I don't know why i can't acct upon it for an extended period of time. I've gone a few months at a time being productive but it doesn't stick. I'd say i wish i knew why but i understand too much about goal setting and habit forming and discipline to pretend like i don't know how and why i don't stay productive. Why don't i change if I've read all the material and i genuinely understand that i have unbou…

Have your mantra and recitation exercises benefited you in your opinion? If so, how and in what ways?

Not sure exactly, but I'm leaner than skinny fat. Can dm a pic if necessary

I've always eaten really similarly but now I'm eating more plus the shake to gain weight. Honestly I'm just tired of being skinny as i have been my whole life. And having eaten basically the same thing as what i wrote for a long time I'm accustomed to how it makes me feel, though now I'm just rationalizing i guess. But yeah

Makes sense. I'll look to work towards eating more healthy as i get better at eating a lot of food and get more accustomed to my routine. Thank you man

Honestly i don't know enough about diet to know i suppose. The one guy mentioned i won't suffer from micronutrients deficiencies and that seems right so i shouldn't die or feel like shit all the time, right? What tangible benefits would eating cleaner provide? Would i have a better muscle to fat gain ratio? Or is it all small things like my body working more efficiently or something less noticeable? Seems a stretch to compare carbs and milk to kfc but again I'm not knowledgeable enough

Word. Last thing: following that logic, it's acceptable to do what I'm doing for bulking seems like. Then once i hit a goal weight, cut out the carbs and some dairy to cut down body fat for a cut cycle? That's how it works right?
/r/askTRP27/01/20 04:55 PM

For sure. What's your reasoning for it not being healthy? My understanding is that carbs are a neutral food and dairy just isn't the greatest because you can develop an intolerance to it by having too much. Am i missing something?
/r/askTRP27/01/20 04:48 PM

Is it that bad for me? I'm trying to hard bulk and not be skinny anymore

Haven't done macros, lazy i know. Tdee is at 2800 with moderate exercise selected, which i think is acceptable considering 3 day full body beginner routine. The diet puts me at 33-3400, i just drink more milk if i miss out on a couple hundred calories or something.

Thanks man. I think this would help me, definitely with being funny. What do you do in classes like this? What general skills would this help with?

I could, yeah. Others say that that is a big step when having low social skills in general. Is the whole thing that it doesn't matter and i should just be as social as i can and do what i want? Will i definitely get better if i socialize a lot, with my mindset about it mattering less than the experience I'm getting? Am i just overthinking?
/r/askTRP23/01/20 05:34 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
