That's a factor that would affect women and not men, and would contribute to more women committing infanticide. 24	Double standards in sports No way wrestling is more of a "boys" game. Wrestling is really the only sport that you truly see a dominant girl every so often at the high school level. The entire point of gender equality is that the two genders are not the same but that they still receive the same respect. -1	Double standards in sports It would be nice, but I don't think there needs to be an expectation that every person has the ability to play every sport they want at any school they want. I went to a school that didn't have a Lacrosse team. 1	Double standards in sports I don't understand why letting girls play on guys teams suggests removing gender as a qualifier for participation. It would seem that the qualifier for participation is the advantages offered by the gender more than the gender itself--in other words, we separate mens and womens leagues not because we think the genders are best separated, but because we think men have a basic athletic advantage. 1	It's shit like this... It's a straw man to suggest that anyone thinks false accusers shouldn't face punishment. They should, but they should be freed of that punishment in cases like this one, where they are confessing to a false accusation without evidence pressuring them to otherwise. 5	It's shit like this... Just to be clear--my guess is the reporter misunderstood what the DA was saying. This girl made the accusation when she was 11, and completely got away with it. The reason she was caught lying was because she confessed to lying, and freed her victim from prison. If you were to charge her, it would discourage other people in similar situations--where they want to come clean and release an innocent person--from coming forward.
