It’s all good, man! Misunderstandings happen.

Also, the point about no one screaming when ‘white’, ‘rich’ or ‘cis’ being put in front of women, I have to disagree. Don’t underestimate the ability of tone deaf white feminists who can & will make themselves a victim in any situation. That’s kind of what I said. I actually did point that that so many people who call themselves ‘lefists’ or ‘feminists’ DO scream when “white,” “rich” or “cis/straight” is being put in front of women. In fact, that’s most of the time when ironic bigotry is being c…

I would say not just men of color, but marginalized men as a whole. Queer men, trans men, neurodivergent/disabled men, men who are poor or homeless, men who aren’t conventionally attractive, etc. are left by the waist side when discussing intersectionality and feminist issues. It’s why you rarely see a lot of leftists call out the ironic bigotry against marginalized men, but the moment someone puts “white/straight/cis/rich” in front of “women,” they lose their shit. Yet, you see people put “men”…

It’s really because they don’t care. In fact, I think this sub should’ve just left this thread on there alone. Just by looking at those comments, it’s pretty clear they don’t have any consideration regarding men’s issues. At this point, I don’t think anyone should expect anything from people on a sub that does not care at all about what men’s issues advocates have to say.

Went to the thread and the top comment was, “They aren’t left, but they sure are male.” Noped the hell out of there. Not to mention, using the “male” comment as an insult. What’s so wrong with being male? At this point, it’s giving me TERFy vibes.

Oh yeah. I remember coming back to that sub and check on the comments under that particular post. And every single comment that got deleted were all greatly upvoted, so what’s the problem? The problem is that it challenges their own view (the mods, I mean) of how men’s issues should be discussed, and that feminism should never be criticized, even if it’s coming from a place of genuine, constructive concern. Like I said, I remember reading comments on that sub and upvoting certain ones that will …

I get that. A good chunk of their moderation needs some improvement. They’ll even delete comments, that have very good points, that they believe is “anti-feminist.”

I was just trying to give some examples of men’s groups that aren’t right wing. Just remember, you don’t have to go there if you don’t want to. My answer was specifically towards OP.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
