I don't think so, because they tested yearly, and I have to assume that they being the case, age was not a factor. It's possible though.

It is. Like everyone in the comments seeing that its true for both men and women so it doesn't support any of the dumb bullshit they keep saying about women being abusive or gaslighting men.
/r/MensRights05/04/25 12:21 AM

Yeah but that take doesn't support my position so I'm gonna go a different way. Its gotta be the gaslighting.

It's not a genuine "women bad" moment no matter how you look at it. The study is about adults, and is true for both men, and women. If it shows the women are bad, logically it also shows men are bad.

The study shows this is true for all sexes, so everything being said about gaslighting, or abuse can be said about husbands/men as well as women....

Dude dont be obtuse. The statemement has to come with the implication that they are at least comperable or it wouldn't make sense. I refuse to believe you dont understand that. For instance - "did you know stealing over 1000$ is an aggrivating factor but they dont even mention stealing over 400$" Does that blow your mind or does it seem like a waste of time to have even said it?

What about it? You're still trying to equate two things that cannot be equated. Explain how the two things youre comparing are even remotly comperable.

You're so blind you didn't see the person who commented before you doing exactly what you're saying no one does? I hate how little this self awareness other people in this sub have. No wonder its reputation is what it is.

In this sub this is going to be an unpopular fact, but forcing someone to get pregnant is much worse than forcing someone to impregnate you all else being equal. Getting pregnant has all of the same financial impacts then many more physical repercussions. Anyone who disagrees is not being objective. Bring on the downvotes.

Never implied otherwise, you're responding to something I didn't say, this is about using that video to make a character judgement Right, youre just making excuses. "Maybe he only does this occationally", "you dont know what she did to deserve this". That are excuses for his bad behavior. You're free to judge as you want but I disagree you've set a reasonable standard (a person at their worst). Yeah, most people agree, mental abuse and manipulation is OK if you only do it once. You need to look up what strawman means. The basis of your argument is a study that mislead its participants by your own admission. For that study to hold any weight all life would need to be the same, which you say it isn't. So you are saying both all life is the same, and all life is not the same. You try to cover your lack of an actual logical point by writing diatribes that im not going to give you dignity of reading because you cannot understand how your only piece of evidence is worthless.…

Everything is illigical when you ignore the actual arguement. Explain to me why we should consider all life the same when as a matter of practice we as a society already do not? Why would anyone trust a study that was designed to decieve people to achieve a certain response? You have to understand both of those questions and how they fit together to answer either one in context. You dont just get to claim something else isnt logical because you dont like it. You dont like abortion, and thats fine, my point is the science is far from settled, you point to a study where info was purposely withheld, you have no answer for how a study that was set up to deceive should hold any weight at all. You dont think it matters, all life begins at conception, so I pointed out that we clearly treat different forms of life different, and we dont charge people with murder for using bug s…

But the one unique thing that creates life has happened. Whats the difference if someone dies within the womb or afterward. Is live only worth living if you can make it out of the womb? Whats the difference if an embryo lives 40 years and dies on the job vs an embryo living 23 weeks and dying before birth? Thats you. Thats how you sound. Far too stupid to understand your own arguments and calling other people "intellectual light weights". You're a clown.

Back to my original point. Based off what youre saying, why should women care about mens issues, men dont care about theirs. That much is obvious from this sub. You're so blind to your own hypocrisy and too simple to realize it. You're mad women wont support you, so you dont support them. If some random feminist said they didnt support mens issues because men dont support womens issues you would call them a hypocrite, but when you do it you feel justified. That's hypocrisy, you're a hypocrite.

States have never provided abortions, private organizations do them for private individuals. The government has no right to step in the way. The supreme court has now allowed states to step into the middle of something thats none of their business.

Saying men shouldn't be forced into conscription is like saying women shouldn't be forced into conscription, not shouldnt have a right to an abortion. Taking a right away from men, does not justify taking a right away from women. Both are separate events and situations independent of the other, amd both are wrong. You're creating a false equivalence to justify your stance that women shouldnt have a choice on abortion because men dont have a choice in conscription. Its bogus. You should be upset …

When do memories start? What time does the brain stem develop? When do the folds develop on the brain which in part make our brains so unique? All of those events and many many more, are as unique in the life cycle as conception, and you're dim at best for not recognizing that.

I like how you answer your own question inside of your question, dont even remotly realize it, and say things like "the science is settled". How is a human embryo different than say a 2 day old baby? And what happens when you let that embryo DEVELOP for…I don’t know…say 9 months and 2 days. What do you get? I capitalized the important word for you to make it easier to spot. In no way am I saying that the amount is the same, just the concept. Are you saying that a women literally risking her life to give birth to a child she doesnt want that regardless will have long lasting affects on her body and then having to pay to support that child for its formative years is the same as just having to support that kid for his formative years? You are just being intellectually dishonest.

You can be charged with using in a public place or using drugs while operating a vehicle, but not simply for using drugs. Look up actual court cases where an individual was arrested and convicted of using drugs without possession, or distribution.

Lol the fact that you think this is a good point is mind blowing. No one gets locked up for stepping on an ant, no criminal justice system that I know of calls it murder if you unlawfully kill someone elses puppy. Your question is hypocritical at its base. If you understood that then why pose the question? I'll rephrase my question because I'm not certain I was clear, I was asking if you wanted a two tiered system for selective services. Several states have laws that triggered as soon as the ruling was overturned to halt at least the majority of abortions. Ill never understand how people confuse money with body. Men have body autonomy, Women dont. Neither have "wallet" autonomy and taxes for services you dont use are proof of that. I support mens ability to not be responsible for a child as long as theyre up front about it from the start, but thats not on the same level as the right to abortion. You're comparing apples to oranges, and I know I'm about to get a flood of hate for making that distinction.

This isnt really equivalent. All of the cant choose options basically hold for women as well. Doesn't seem too far off honestly. Do you really not see the difference between some weak superficial hits like she's throwing and the hard punches he put back on her? Worse case scenario for him is a fat lip. People die a lot more often than you seem to believe from heavy blows to the head. Especially when they're out weighed by double. It wouldn't be any different if you switched her out with some cranky 65 yo man who was half his size. Even a younger man half his size, still the same.

You guys should seriously think about proportional response. She's wrong, but her slaps and punches had hardly any "real" effect on him. His literally could have ended her life. Before all this "she hit him like 50 times" bullshit think about some kid throwing gravel at you, would you find a fairly sizable rock and bash them in the skull with it? I think it's funny the article references women working into their 50s and 60s, by saying the number has reached 4.2 mil. Then they say the total number of men and women working in those age groups is now over 10 million, which means, there are 40% more men working at that age. The headline kind of gives a different impression though.

You could be right, but that's not how the judge saw it. The point is 93 days for a contempt charge is not always the best thing for everyone. Sometimes you just gotta let that shit go. It's literally an arrest for back talk, and while I agree the circumstances make it acceptable, I'd hate to have to cover someone's bills because they had a smart mouth.

You're right, and the person that caused that life sentence is going to spend at least 3 up to 15 years behind bars for her careless acts. The mother of that girl is going to jail for talking back to the judge, and 93 days for back talking a judge is alot. I'm sure some people do need to spend that time, but this woman broke down after one and apologized. Let's say she does serve that 93 days and losses her job, so she goes on unemployment. I agree that she deserved to learn a lesson, but 93 days could cost her her job or have other negative aspects on her life that could affect more than just her. Even so her sentence was only reduced because of an apology given the next day. The point is not to punish but to have people learn a lesson, and as far as the judge was concerned she thought the tearful apology was proof that the lesson was learned.

No one is compelled to work anymore than they would be normally with out the existence of society. Wanna eat? Gotta hunt or grow crops. Who cares if your wife starts asking. Anyone who is trying to get a vasectomy and hide it from their spouse is in the wrong. To your other point there's a difference between a law that mandates spouse approval, and a doctor deciding not to do something for their own reasons. I'm guessing you're not bright enough to understand the connection so I'll spell it out, largely these interactions are predatory. These individuals should be treated like individuals especially when you're dealing with a group as overwhelmingly large as feminists. This is not some small, well organized, tight knit group of like minded people, its a blanket term for people who believe men and women should be equal. It would literally be impossible for all the outliers to …

All you're doing is making a broad generalization about a group based off the actions of a few. Sort of like how radfems say all men are rapist/pedophiles. I understand that you probably dont understand how those are the same, but they are equivalent.

Right but it isnt "their" movement. Feminism stands for something, equality. If a MRA was talking about a man being a hero for dosing his girlfriend with plan b pills that wouldnt make that an MRA view. When hes talking about that its important to separate that part of him from the movement if hes even connected at all. Thats why when an individual starts being anti men you shouldnt just start calling them feminists, you should call them ignorant

Screams fake. Even the responses are over the top. Probably made just so someone could say "look how shitty they are" or "look how vindictive and narcissistic women are"

I don't understand why anyone who was ashamed would make a false rape report. If she was ashamed she would've just not said anything at all. She clearly had it out for her ex. She was aiming at hurting him not exonerating herself

I hate to be that guy, but how is this mens rights? A chick hiding pregnancy to keep her job doesnt really equal male oppression...

Yeah its very overstated, but you should expect that in r/mensrights. The real issue people are taking is that if you switched the genders around they would never make a tasteless joke like that. Huffington post would never allow a joke like that about slicing a clitorous, or a breast. Also had a man held a young woman captive and mutilated her genitals some sort of sexual assault charge would have been pressed.

I feel like this has less to do with her being a feminist, and more to do with her just being a complete bitch.

This whole thing is pretty messed up, but the kid only got 10-13 years if you look objectively at the situation, and the reason he got that sentence is because they consider the fact that hes a minor. Joseph also exhibited signs of aggresion at an early age, which certainly is a red flag and lends itself to the decision. Overall the state is looking to rehabilitate this child, its really whats best for him. As for comparing this to "battered spouse syndrome" I think you're comparing apples and o…

Nothing funny about this. People actually believe that garbage. Look up the definition of "rapist" on google. If someone posted a sign that read "just because she can't say NO, doesn't mean she wants to f**k" "dont be that guy" on a humor site they would be harshly criticized, by men and women both. As well they should be, and so should anyone who finds humor in this poster. The rape of males is no more humorous than the rape of females, rape is not funny. Edit: Not blasting OP, just dont see wh…

Point out the inequality. You say we're being discriminated against show me. The women who don't like weight as a factor did not say they should be able to use it, but men shouldn't. Men can still sort based off height, income, attractiveness all those factors you accuse women of using. Not once does anyone say women should have a right that men shouldn't. Hypocrisy is when a person claims to have a belief or moral standard that is contrary to their actual behavior. This is not that. This is the…

How is this men's rights? What about someone being upset about being told theyre too fat is inequitable to men? Edit: Allow me to clarify my position. "Law states males are not allowed to discriminate against females due to appearance while on internet dating sites. Women may still use apearance as a sorting tool so as to protect themselves from aggresive looking males " - mens rights issue "Woman is upset that people can be censored due to their weight on an internet dating site" - not mens rig…

Theyre not allowed around schools or playgrounds why give them custody of a child? If she were a man I'd say the same thing.

Only real question here is why a 34 yo woman would procreate with a 15 yo and then be allowed to keep the child? The woman is a sex offender by law.

You may be right, but police are generally abusive of there powers. One way or the other no "rights" were violated. I understand something terrible happened, but our legal system is trying to punish the guilty. Thats not the case with domestic abuse, custody battles, or divorce proceedings ( what I would say should be the core of the "mens rights movement"). This man was murdered because the officer overreacted to what he saw as a threat. He was not gunned down because the officer thought he cou…

Far more speculative. If you can honestly tell me that you believe that this wouldve happened to a 5'2" asthmatic white male wearing suspenders who came to that womans door selling insurance, than I would have to consider your judgement suspect at best. Being femail didnt stop that little black girl from being maced by the cops a while back. I suppose I should look that article up and cite it

You're speculating. This article is very vague as to his condition, it would be unwise for any person to"offer aid" to someone covered in blood for instance, without proper backstory. Add in the fact that hes was a football player you can be fairly certain that he was very large. She was right to be frightened it helps people stay alive. Had he been a white, clean cut, good looking, business man of average size and build in a suit carrying brief case, do you honestly believe this would have happ…

You've lost it. I dont consider anyone who participates in sexual harassment to be "good hearted". But you seem to miss my point completely. When we were out on the track for wrestling we would often crowd around those who were dragging and shout encouragement at them. Things like "move your ass" or "looking good" for people who were doing well were often heard on the track. Clapping was almost a universal gesture for those who were bringing it in. You could call any of that sexist if you put th…

Fine maybe I should have said completely overhauled. It just supports more discrimination. If there is harassment then cut it at the source. Deal with it not some supposed problem. You think seperating them like children will stop this suppose harassment? It'll only make it worse. Instead of happening on a practice field itll transfer to the office or the street, then what? Men and women can no longer work together? Different shifts? Different beats? A police force is a team and should be built …

But notice that the author doesnt argue that men should have private exams, only women. Its fairly obvious who's the sexist. If he really had a problem with female officers being oggled then he could just call for instructors or officials to make it stop. Hes describing harassment which I highly doubt is occuring, but instead of trying to end the harassment he wishes to scrap the whole system. Its fairly ridiculous
/r/MensRights09/09/13 03:34 PM

Its all in the sub text. The author asserts that its sexist for women not to have a private more dignified test then the current one, the one that both men and women have to take.

So I guess I understand where the whole whistleing clapping thing is coming from, but as an athlete the "wolf wistling and clapping" are used to encourage your team mate to keep going or push harder! I wish I was clever enough to use that jackie chan wtf meme cuz this makes no sense. How the fuck is it biased towards obese men? Let me quote you seeing as I still dont know how to indent. "If there were tons of [support] places just for men, maybe not so many men would choose to opt out from life". So maybe I took "just for men" to mean "just for men" my mistake. Either way you sir deserve a medal for not knowing when to quit. Have an upvote for standing your ground! Yes I suppose there would, seeing as I wasnt arguing with op. Although you can look around this post and very clearly see his views. Hes already convinced im a feminist here to throw a monkey wrench in the works, so im sure he'd be more than happy to come help you out. Either way my disagreement is with the way the post is presented, but it also troubles me that you think for men to get support they must be seperated from women. Why do you feel that way?

Its the basis of the post. Hes upset that men dont have financial/emotional abuse courses, not because they deserve them, but because women have rape/sexual abuse seminars. Men have tons of places just for men, and thats fine they should be allowed that. My problem is with the idea that it isnt fair to men for women to have abuse education, and dont blame me for taking it that way its the way the post is put forth, therefore I can only assume thats what he means. And no person or group should be…

I dont quite understand your first sentence. Anyways you dont need to respect me intellectually or otherwise, but you've given yourself to the same suppositions you accuse me of. The point im trying to make is that the poster put forth the idea that its inequitable to men that women are afforded sexual abuse seminars, therefore we should be given something in return. The thought is ludicrous. Women dont get rape defence courses because men have private golf clubs, they get them because they are …

Straw man arguements abound yes. Through my haze I argued my point ineffectually. My comparison was weak at best. I suppose what I was trying to say is why is the fact that women get free sexual assault classes upsetting to anyone? Most places you'll find men and young boys are also allowed to attend so where exactly are we as men being short sticked? The original poster states that women having sexual assault courses is inequitable to men. Shouldn't we be happy that we as a society try to prote…

Yes quite!! I am actually a feminist in disguise, its upsetting to me that I was caught so easily :( You clearly misunderstood my point, but I would expect it of someone with your level of intellectual prowess. Men dont deserve emotional/financial abuse courses just because women have rape courses. Women in our society are preyed apon so they deserve societys protection. Men also are victimized so they also deserve protection. The idea that "well women get something so we should get something al…

This is sorta silly. Its almost as if you're putting forth the idea that women are evil for manipulating men and only go after us for our money, and because of this they deserve the sexual assault and abuse they're occationally subjected to. I dont like "emotional" or "financial" abuse any more than you, but women have to put up with that type of thong on a regular basis, the same as men. I know pleanty of women personally who have deadbeat husbands who do dont work and constantly assault them v…
