Yea I think that’s what he is experiencing and I can definitely feel it

I think so too. I read an article that said something about individual accomplishments becoming collective accomplishments, which I resonate with a lot. We’re truly a unit now.

Congrats!! How do you feel? It kind of feels surreal for me, like, did that actually just happen?????

I believe it. He gave me a purpose when I felt like I had none. He completely changed the trajectory of my life for the better. I can’t wait to live a lifetime with him.

If it were me, I totally would.

Haha I feel you. I am guessing they wouldn’t accept weed because he’ll be driving government vehicles. Idk though. He doesn’t want to take the chance and I don’t blame him.

I wanted to leave out the details for fear of judgement...but ok I’ll spill the beans. It’s a seasonal government job that requires a drug test. The hiring manager told him he would get back to my bf in 1-2 weeks after the interview. My bf assumed because he hadn’t heard back after 3.5ish weeks, that he didn’t get the job and was safe to eat a marijuana edible. I suggested that he call and follow up with them first because it sounded like his interview went great, but he thought that would make …

I’m still really proud of him and I keep reminding him that. I wrote this post to get the urge to rub it in out of my system in a healthy way. I appreciate everyone’s support :)

Wow I would be honored. I’m such a nostalgic person, I’d LOVE that. That is so sweet. Congrats!

Hahahahaha I could totally see that happening to me. I’m so stubborn sometimes.

Hahaha oh man, did you get a good look at the ring when you found it?

Haha that’s one way to get it done!

Aww that’s so sweet! I can see my bf doing something similar. We’re pretty basic and simple when it comes to romantic gestures.

Originally about frequency, but now there are performance issues.

Yes, I’m just nervous that this isn’t going to solve anything, and is just putting the issue off

Thank you for the advice. He just naturally has a low drive. We spend plenty of quality time together already, but I told him I’d like some sort of romantic date.

Wow thank you for the response! I feel very validated, it’s nice to hear from someone who has the same issue. I like the pattern interrupt method. I use a lot of DBT skills which have helped, but I’ve never heard of that one. My favorite DBT skills is mindfulness, which is pretty close to how you described meditation. Unfortunately I am prone to depression also, as I have bipolar disorder, but I’m on some great meds and haven’t had an episode in awhile.

Yea I try, I just feel kind of silly. Like, I’m making excuses and sound like a “special snowflake”

Oh god yes. I walked on egg shells around my dad all through childhood. I’ve forgiven him and we have a better relationship now, but I was definitely negatively affected by him growing up.

I definitely love myself, no doubt about that. I’ve been through hell and back, but I’ve created a great life that I’m very proud of. In terms of your coworker, I can relate. I am very non confrontational, so I do avoid voicing my thoughts at times. This causes me to be passive aggressive, which I am very aware of and hate. I am not like that with my bf though. I feel very comfortable with him.

I’ve noticed recently where I might come off as nagging to my bf. For example, we did a deep spring cleaning and I asked him if he could take care of his empty beer cans. A few hours later, I asked him if he had done it yet without realizing that he had. Luckily, he didn’t hear me ask the second time but it occurred to me how annoyed I would be if I were him. I made it a point to trust him and observe before I make assumptions, and thank him for following through. It has saved a lot of petty arg…

I had a LOT of fun dating because I made it a point to ask deep questions immediately. I wanted to catch them off guard and eliminate surface level conversations. It was a lot of fun, even on dates that I knew wouldn’t go any further. Maybe it wasn’t the most red pill way to go about things because that meant I lead the conversations, but let me tell ya... my dates were really into it most of the time. I asked questions such as: -what makes a house a home? -do you believe in god? -what is your f…

I’ve been rocking the classic leggings and a sweater. My biggest things though, is keeping my hair looking relatively nice. I always feel so much better when my hair isn’t a knotted up frizz ball that I have to keep in a bun. Not throwing shade at the messy bun look at all, I just feel better when I don’t have to do that everyday.

Can’t go wrong with a simple Mac and cheese. I pretty much just throw a bunch of shredded cheese (any type, I like cheddar or those kraft mixed bags), cream cheese, and a little bit of sour cream on noodles and stir over low heat until it’s all melted. It’s a hard recipe to mess up. Edited to add another recipe: You can make spaghetti with meatballs super easily with frozen meatballs. One bag lasts us a decent amount of time. I throw some of the meatballs on a skillet and cook them until they’re…
