What about darker-skinned Italians? Or Western Asians?) has felt superior for around the past 1000 years, probably less. I've always thought this: Call me a cunt, a dickhead, a retard, a twat, a faggot etc in a jovial manner where no offense is meant, and by me that's okay. Call me even something innocuous like 'idiot' or 'fool' in a nasty way with the intent to hurt me. That's offensive. Calling her out publicly might feel better, but it will make her act defensively. Be polite, but insistent on her explanation.
