How? People speak highly of Models, which I haven’t read, but I reviewed The Subtle Art and that book is a joke

There is an old cliché about the superiority of blond hair and blue eyes but it’s only a bonus point in women. We guys aren’t so much in demand and a pattern I’ve noticed so far when going out is that the girl always picks the darker-skinned friend present (but not necessarily black). It’s probably a sexual dimorphism

Not everybody can have a cushy job and/or stay functional on 5 hours of sleep

Abundance, whether caloric or sexual, is linked to faster senescence, which shows how Mother Nature uses and then discards you. But at least some men can rise above this and have some clarity. OP is probably one of them.

Here's what I think is happening (in general): a woman finds it hot when a guy is able to act vulnerable and open up while still appearing manly, grounded, well-adapted, gifted (take your pick). Much like a bank benefits from a stress test that ends up proving its financial solidity. But guys whose emotional candour changes your perception of them instead of confirming it because it's a mess inside their head, it's too much to take in, whatever... well, those are more likely to appear "pathetic"…

« Be more confident » but of what? You’re obviously right but the problem is that confidence doesn’t come from nowhere, at least if we’re talking about a healthy and sustainable form of confidence

To be fair, getting rejected for at least half of 30 years will takes a toll on anyone’s personality

Don’t look for a rational reason to feel confident as this will likely achieve the opposite. Try to emulate the spontaneous sense of affirmation you had as a child or go method acting mode and pretend you’re your most self-confident friend for a moment. Fake it until you make it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
