It’s weird. I’m very liberal and very pro-abortion (even late term), yet whenever I’m somewhat critical of Democrat messaging on the subject around women, they get very hostile.

This is ultimately a manifestation of female solipsism. They will try to center themselves in every conversation. Like if you say that women prefer to date tall men, some woman will always comment “well MY boyfriend is 5’8 so you’re wrong”. It’s just impossible to talk about obvious and clear trends with them. This is why women are huge proponents of “lived experience” and “my truth” I also suspect this is why talking about politics or ideologies is so challenging, as they almost always make it …

Yeah people are just taking the words “respectful” and “psychopathy” too seriously

Nothing I said was prescriptive, simply descriptive. I’m not attempting to give advice.

Are all the blue pillers here just to troll people? They never seem to engage with the actual point.

Ok, you’re just trolling.

Right, all of those things involve intelligently testing and pushing boundaries. It’s simple escalation. You seem to be unaware of this dynamic. I’m putting forth a hypothesis for why lonely men struggle with this piece. This is a discussion forum, right? Again, I’m not sure why you’re making this personal.

Great. How do you get to that point? And once you’re on the date, how do you keep it going?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:51 AM

Ok, this is great advice to get platonic friends. And now how do you escalate this platonic interest into a relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:47 AM
1

What do you propose that men who receive no female interest do then?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:41 AM
1

Ok, I think that’s a different discussion altogether then.

Ok, so you think average or below average men have women interested in them initially? Like at a bar, or in a friend group, you think that at least one woman will be interested in a below average man?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:33 AM

Disrespecting boundaries is different from disrespecting women. In order to pursue someone who is not initially interested, you need to disrespect her boundaries that she has put up. Not her as a person.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:30 AM
1

So your contention is that men should not pursue women?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:28 AM
1

Ok, that’s great. I don’t think that’s the experience for most average or below average men. At least not most of the time.

I think you’re misunderstanding me. I’m not saying it’s “good” to be too respectful of boundaries. Ultimately this comes from a place of being too self-centered and self aware of how you are perceived. Someone with higher psychopathy does not care about any of this, they simply want to achieve their goal. I think you’re hung up on the language I used. A certain level of psychopathy does not make you “bad”. Do you have a better word for it? You’re reading a moral judgement into my argument when I…

Respecting boundaries is different from “respecting women”. What exactly do you think drives this fear?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:13 AM
2

Exactly. It is obviously this inhibition that is holding you back. I’m sure you are a very normal guy, but you are likely too self aware. I’m not sure how you can overcome that, but if you can, I think you will significantly improve your chances of success.

You think the lonely men here are creeps who won’t leave women alone? What the hell is your point? You’re the one who keeps bringing in “good” or “bad”. Explain how these men can have friends and good relationships with family, yet struggle with women specifically. Or do you disagree that men like that even exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:10 AM
2

For sure
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:02 AM
2

Right. But you are self aware enough to notice that this banter with strangers is unwanted, whereas some men don’t even register it. My contention is that these men will be more successful than men like yourself who are acutely aware of how they are making women feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 02:01 AM

Of course. I’m not saying that stalkerish behavior is helpful. But as an average man you have to be willing to disregard initial discomfort from women. My contention is that lonely men find this very challenging, as they are too “respectful” and agreeable. They interpret any awkwardness as an immediate “no”. That’s why pursuing people you already know is likely a better approach.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 01:52 AM

But for an average or below average man, it’s rare to find women who initially want to be pursued BY YOU. Now, my contention is that as they warm to you, these initial boundaries will soften, but many lonely men find it challenging to push on these boundaries at first.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 01:47 AM

Yeah, it’s a pretty simple argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 01:45 AM
4

Yes but many lonely men find this banter to be uncomfortable and unwanted, especially to someone they don’t know well. Indeed, this banter might be unwanted at first, but after pushing through this and getting to know each other better, the woman may become more receptive. It actually helps to be somewhat psychopathic, as you disregard these feelings of awkwardness completely.

I’m not sure why this turned personal. I’m not describing myself. Did you pursue your wife? Was she immediately into you from your first meeting? My point is that being too respectful of boundaries leads many average men to avoid making any moves at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 01:41 AM

Ok. Let’s keep this simplistic. If we have a made up scale from “full respect” to “full psychopathy”, then the latter will get laid more than the former. If you are so respectful of women’s boundaries that you never approach them, then you will never get laid. If you do not even perceive boundaries and keep pursuing women even when clearly unwanted, you will get laid eventually. Obviously, you would ideally strike a good balance between the two extremes, and push boundaries only when acceptable.…

How do you think normal men get into relationships with women? They certainly have to pursue. A lot of men who end up lonely find this challenging. Not because they have poor social skills, but because they have an aversion to pushing boundaries.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 12:53 AM
5

It’s not about “good” or “bad”. You can certainly push boundaries and be a good person. That’s irrelevant to my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 12:51 AM

The problem with most lonely men is that they are too respectful of boundaries. Even the ugliest men who push boundaries frequently enough will eventually break through the dam and find success. Men who are chronically respectful will never reach this point (unless they are very attractive). It takes a certain psychopathy to get into a relationship; you need to be willing to push past initial disinterest and distrust from women. And you your end goal will ultimately be sexual (even in an LTR). T…

It’s weird because I’ve never been called short in real life, but on hinge it seems to be a deal breaker

I don’t think I should have more success for being honest. I’m just not sure why the common advice is to be honest when lying seems to pay off.

We’re both pretty average looking dudes, same grad program. I am in significantly better shape though, as he doesn’t workout. I would feel pretty uncomfortable lying about something so easily verifiable though.

Ok so I should inflate my height too, exacerbating the issue?

Why should I not lie about my height on dating apps like hinge? I’m 5’9, and I put that on my profile. My buddy puts 6’1 even though he’s really 5’10 on a good day; barely taller than me. He goes on multiple dates per week (and scores), while I haven’t had a match in a month. What exactly is the upside to being truthful?
