And in that, the idea that I could go and completely change how I look (I.e get a rainbow mohawk) - when my husband has expressed that he would not like that - and then for me to get offended if he doesn’t like it would be kinda ridiculous! And having a foundation of clear communication and clarity around relationship expectations is so important so that when those comments are made here and there, ultimately the receiver of those comments knows that their spouse does love them and it comes from a good place. F29 here and I would say that my husband will never comment negatively on my appearance and I would be offended if he did so really carelessly.
