| 1 | It's not "men act, women are", it's "men's skills are recognized, women's are taken for granted".As a man broadly competent in a lot of domains, I haven't found this to be particularly true, at least not presented this way. I'm more a man-shaped assemblage of skills. Very often recognition is skill-first and skill-only, while the person beneath is largely interchangeable.
