1	How should I approach this? As long as they are the most basic values, it's understandable. But be flexible with everything else. 1	How should I approach this? So are your values something you wish you AND your partner would live by? Because in that case, indeed, your values and standards are the same. It is only my personal opinion as a person in a long term relationship with a person of radically different upbringing, background... even continent, but I believe that most of my values are rather private and only I need to live by and I would only require a small handful of them to be shared by my partner.
