Woooow, that’s a hostile mentality. Thank you for explaining. It makes sense, I see your point, but I disagree and I think we totally should listen to each other. For me, MRAs and feminists are not enemies, and it’s not a war between them. Ok, there might currently be a war between them, but I think that’s suboptimal and avoidable. Try watching this YouTube video It shows the clash between a (ex)feminist and MRAs. She is skeptical at first but finds out that men’s and women’s issues are somewhat…

I don’t agree that we can generalize activists all we want. How is it ok to generalize a group of people that all believe in one cause (feminists, MRAs) but not to generalize a group of people characterized by one property (women, men)? Generalizations can often put words and opinions into peoples mouths, and that makes the debate more about “throwing mud” and less about the actual issues

Thank you for your response. I am sad to hear this is the case, and I hope it changes so men are taken seriously regarding consent. I will try to spot the problem and speak up about it when I see it!

Lying about being on the pill should be a criminal offense. It is like stealthing - neither are ok. When you open up to people and they blame you, that’s victim blaming in a sense. Please remember to take care of yourself and try finding someone who doesn’t blame you that you can open up to

Both parties’ consent are necessary for lawful intercourse. What do you mean?

You are very generalizing against feminists. If we, as men’s right activists, generalize feminists as much as we claim they generalize men, aren’t we just as bad as the worst kind of feminists? I have met many reasonable feminists who don’t match your description at all. Frankly, the only time I’ve met “bad” feminists was online. We need to be careful with generalizations, because it will only make us more polarized…

Depends what you mean by “more empathetic”. The study addresses two types of empathy. Cognitive, the ability to understand another’s emotions and affective/emotional, the ability to feel another’s emotions. As far as I can read (from the abstract and conclusion), men are better at cognitive, and women are better at emotional. Also, men as you say can kind of control their empathy whereas women kind of have an “automatic response”. I think it would be a stretch to say men are more empathetic, per…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
