Any other men here feel like you were left for dead?Hey I am sorry you are hurting, friend. That sounds like a hell of a ride. As someone a bit further down the road I can tell you - you are very likely through the worst of it. Sounds trite maybe but finding other things to occupy your mind like hobbies, seeing friends, getting exercise and taking care of yourself - gotta take care of yourself and you will heal over time. I hear you about the dark thoughts, I had some as well. It was a bit scary, and we're in a similar age group but even as older… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/02/26 09:11 PM
Any other men here feel like you were left for dead?Hey friend, don't beat yourself up too hard. It just means you were a good partner that you were attached to her. I'd say it is healthy (not a doc or anything here) to focus on some of the negative things in a non hateful way if possible. One interesting thing you might notice: after a while if they were mean to you, your sense of self worth will start to rebound. It was a strange moment when I realized that. After a few months I felt lighter and realized 'oh yeah I don't have someone bringing m… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/02/26 02:59 AM

Any other men here feel like you were left for dead?Yeah I hear you buddy. I stupidly put everything I had into making a future for us and when she decided she was done with me, it became apparent she didn't care about me at all. Looking back not sure how much she ever did! The first while after is always rough but eventually this kind of shitty behavior makes it (imho) easier to get over them. My ex was so cold and hurtful in the end that now I just kind of feel grateful to be rid of her. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/02/26 08:16 PM
Divorce while being on disabilityhey friend, I have no advice but just wanted to send you a hug and wish you well. I am sorry for what you are going through. here's hoping better days are ahead | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/01/26 05:43 PM
Divorced Men, My wife cheat, we divorced, She’s happy, I’m sad. What is your advice? There are some really great things about it, and I don't mean that typical guy story of "getting out there and picking up lots of chicks" etc. Just being on your own with no one to answer to is so freeing. I was cheated on and dumped a couple years ago - it sucked at first of course, but while I have bad days, I feel so much better on my own. There can be great peace in being single. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/10/25 12:23 AM
Divorced Men, My wife cheat, we divorced, She’s happy, I’m sad. What is your advice?Hey friend, you don't know how she feels. She may project happiness but she will have to live with the consequences of her decisions and what goes around comes around. Easy for me to say, I know, but try your best to not concern yourself with how she feels or what she's doing. It takes practice - if you start wondering about her and thinking about her change your thoughts to something else. Keep doing it and over time you will start to forget about her. You're sad now but think of it as a painfu… | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/10/25 12:22 AM
