I love how you write and sound as if you’re Gen Z but were a teen in the 80s, makes me smile lol

I bring this up a lot and you wouldn’t believe the whataboutism women try to rebut with

Saying “women often do X” and then getting upset when someone else points out that “both men and women do x” isn’t a strawman argument, it’s feeling upset that one is holding both genders accountable for the same exact behavior.

“Women often make the relationship transactional” that’s what you said, you didn’t say both men and women make it transactional
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/22 12:22 AM

All relationships are transactional by your logic. Men expect sex and affection from their girlfriends don’t they? You’re not just trying to get her attention for shits and giggles. It’s not only women who make it transactional… simply by virtue of both men and women having expectations from the relationship, it’s transactional

If a man asks her out, wants her to spend her time with him, (which she could be doing whatever else out there that she pleases, a million more valuable things to do with her time) he should pay. Plain and simple. Maybe it’s an American thing to expect the woman to pay but men from other countries won’t even entertain that notion

I don’t see the issue with that. Women care about money the way men care about looks. The man wouldn’t even consider her for a date if she didn’t pass his “is she hot?” test. Whereas a good job is attainable if a man works hard enough.

I don’t understand why it’s so hard to realize that women have to be attracted physically to the man as well. Men don’t even think or consider a woman they aren’t physically attracted to. Hate to break it to ya but the same is true for women. The only women who don’t agree are the real gold diggers who don’t care what he looks like if he has serious $$

The biggest thing is gentlemanliness and politeness. Like just be casual, strike up a friendly convo and if it feels like we are vibing, ask to meet for a coffee. And if she says no without skipping a beat just be decent and polite about it instead of making her feel scared or uncomfortable to tell you no

For many women, looks matter a lot less for men compared to their financial success. It’s why you see Bezos and Musk, though they aren’t lookers, living it up with hot women. As ugly as a man is, if he makes enough money to offset the looks, some woman will like him. An ugly woman tho is just not even acknowledged. A man can always work to earn more. Short of drastic plastic surgery that may have iffy results, ugly women are screwed.

Searching for those endless options lol bc I sure don’t have that. Men only think of pretty women when considering women as a whole. The unattractive ones don’t even register, and aren’t even treated as, people.

“This alone proves women are unable to have an honest conversation about dating and discredits anything else” Yes, bc all women are magically a hive mind lol

Agreed. Same for Tom Holland. Guy isn’t the hottest man in the world but girls are going crazy about him bc he is also a good, sweet-matured guy.

People like people they are physically attracted to. Attractive people regardless of gender, have their pick unless they are extremely shy/socially awkward to the point where something is off. Even if Chris Evans was the nerdiest, most socially awkward man, he would still have women hitting on him.

At this point I’ve learned to take ppl as individuals. If they are a good person we can be friends, regardless of gender.

As a woman I agree with this. Too many women have an inflated sense of self and believe they offer more than they actually do. Someone who is athletic, has a beautiful face, kind/sociable, her own job etc. for sure has the right to find someone similar. But plenty of women think just bc they exist that’s enough. Nope.

My brother is 6ft and my dad is 5’11 sooo Idk why I turned out to be 5ft. I wouldn’t say I have a height requirement (I talked to a few different guys, one of whom was 5’5 and he was great. Just didn’t work out.) I currently like someone who is 5’11 and he’s obviously tall compared to me, but i would like him even if he wasn’t. Attraction is weird and very individualized. So many things go into if I’m interested or not. The shorter guy I was with before was very charming and smiley. I’ve noticed…

Aw man lol tricky situation. I would gauge how she is around you, and if you think she would be ok with just ask. But if you think maybe she wouldn’t date a training partner, or you don’t want to bc it gets complicated, then don’t.

Im a woman who does martial arts. First of all, in any sport you win and lose, him losing doesn’t make it “pathetic” and if that singular performance in the sport he loves makes you see him differently, do him a favor and let him find someone more supportive. Because your lack of care and concern, and your perceptions of “he should be a manly man who doesn’t lose” are toxic red flags. How do you think fighters even learn? You think all those UFC fighters, men and women, were just born with those…

That’s because he has a beautiful smile and those features look great on him! Also his personality and sense of humor really shine through. And as a race car driver, you know he’s a brave man. So he’s got that going for him. A lot of women also don’t care about height but the ones that do have a loud voice.

It’s an interesting question especially since I feel like the pandemic has halted most of the social growth I could have had in my late 20s. I would say in high school I was definitely shy and artsy. As an adult however, I got really into fitness, I dress in mostly athleisure (but I do enjoy dressing feminine when I need to), I enjoy sports, both playing and watching (if you haven’t guessed, I love F1). I’m currently very busy with career stuff and haven’t had the time to really sit and develop …

Contrary to a lot of women, I like it when men approach problems with a “here’s how to fix it” attitude. Yes there’s times when I want to vent but I know that eventually I will appreciate and generally listen to his practical advice. And if you communicate clearly, generally they take it into consideration and adapt accordingly, can’t expect them to be mind readers. Women even expect other women to be mind readers sometimes. I like how men are funnier, more no-nonsense (there is less drama. Peop…

I think these days women with money (especially if they are beautiful, fit, etc.) can choose if they want a man in their life or not at all. And many are perfectly happy that way. Why waste life in a dead relationship that lasts years, when you can enjoy your freedom, health, sky’s the limit. Applicable to both sexes. Why be that desperate for a man’s attention in the first place? Levelling up/being high maintenance for yourself, no other motive.

The way I see it, fair is fair. If someone is a beautiful, successful, fit and attractive woman who has a lot going for her, she shouldn’t have to settle for someone she doesn’t find attractive. It’s the women who are overweight, unattractive, unaccomplished, etc., or average who won’t find anyone if they have ridiculous standards. It’s important to be realistic. Like I understand I would mostly have to date guys in their early 30s over younger guys bc I myself am close to 30, and I’m willing to…

I mean if you think women don’t have standards, and don’t discuss those standards regularly, you haven’t been on instagram or tik tok, bc every girl and her mother is like “YAAAAASSS QUEEN you deserve a man who can treat you like xyz who is also hot”
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 06:29 AM

Hypothetically, if she was a hot, high-powered career woman, the first thing men would notice would still be “hot” and perhaps if they did care about her career, they would LTR her over the hot waitress. But trends show more women would be willing to adjust their standards (marry a less attractive guy who had lots of $$) as opposed to a man marrying a less attractive woman with $$.

Physical attraction for both sexes only go so far. Most men wouldn’t date Casey Anthony and most women wouldn’t date Ted Bundy, even though both of those people were “attractive” in the eyes of the media and had fans. Standards change with each person. A guy may not be the most physically attractive, but he’s intelligent and has a great job? Women will adjust their standard. But most men still wouldn’t go for a less attractive, yet accomplished in her career, sorta woman over the hot waitress. T…
