2	Wife just asked if I would be opposed to paid menstrual leave. I'm indirectly opposed. I'm curious what do you think. I think it's important to consider what would happen if it was introduced. Employers would not like losing money, same way they don't like paid maternal leave. 0	For all "Womankind" Ellen's sexual orientation is a really important plot point later on, especially given this show takes place before the legalisation of gay marriage. This you'd know if you had watched the show. As I said previously the all women class of astronauts is also important to the plot. The USSR lands a woman on the Moon, and the USA follows by trying to use their recruitment of women as a PR tactic. Most of those women in the new ASCAN class are just aircraft pilots, chosen more for media appeal than for their actual skill (which some of them do have, Molly being a great example).
