Too much prejudice and vitriol. I also tend to spend all day on the sub when I on it, which isn’t healthy

I get what you were saying, but we were talking about how women apparently bring upon their own struggles on the trades. I’m not trying to participate in a dick measuring oppression contest, it’s pathetic. I’m getting fed up with this place lmfao

Im an autistic lesbian and I still found a woman. It’s harder for us to find mates. Although women have high standards, it’s not like what you are describing. But go on. Anyway, I’m saying SOME MEN, a small subset might feel this way. Not all men, not most men, not you, not the guy next to me, some men. Some people are just like that. Men or women.

Where do feminists send men to the slaughter? Also men can be feminists as well lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 12:42 AM

I’ve seen them put forth fundraisers to get others out of oppressive countries. They’re not just sitting on their ass, you know. They also launch humanitarian efforts and help escort people on dire situations. Feminists exist im those countries and it is patronizing to think otherwise. It isn’t solely the job of western feminists to assess this, but they do try what they can.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 12:41 AM

I think those who complain about women subreddit has a very hostile demeanor towards women. You can make a statement and make it clear that it only applies to a small subset of men, and they will act as if you are accusing all men ever of thinking one way or another. Then when people make extremely general and demeaning statements about women, they agree and even validate each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 12:28 AM

I never said men didn’t experience issues like that. This wasn’t even about men, mate. I have no clue what you’re on about. Of course men face discrimination. I was never in denial about that. I have talked about the issues men face already.

Thank you for being so respectful towards me. You sound completely unbiased and not hateful at all. They might be educated, it does not necessarily mean they are exposed to feminist ideals in a meaningful way or that they are free to openly embrace feminist principles without facing social or legal repercussions. “The Saudi state’s desire to strengthen its authoritarian grip on society is an internal political issue. As a result, the Saudi state does not support the feminist campaign: if women h…

/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 12:03 AM

Men aren’t only good for money, mate. That reduces men to only the romantic roles they can play in straight women’s lives. People just want autonomy, it’s not about men or taking things from them. Also, im not even into men and I want a career. It has nothing to do with a man at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 12:02 AM

I mean, in countries where dissent is met with complete repression or retaliatory violence, women will very likely hesitate to openly identify as feminists or engage in feminist activism due to fear of repercussions. There’s also the matter of education. Lack of access to education or information about feminist principles and goals contribute heavily to misconceptions or resistance to feminism among women in these countries.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 11:55 PM

Most women don’t say kill all men, and the ones who do should receive considerable reprimand. Women aren’t a monolithic group. One woman can say kill all men, another can be disturbed that they are seen as objects. It’s not just to say “kill all men” and it’s not just to reduce women to objects. I think this individuals statement more so is indicative of outgroup homogeneity bias than it is of Women’s nature. The majority of women do not express such views, and reducing their perspectives to the…

There is rampant sexism in the trades. I applied for a few jobs in those areas and I was twice told that they don’t hire women/females.

It’s much trouble even finding queer women. Nearly every woman I’ve crushed on has acted as if it would be disgusting to be with me just because I’m gay. It hurts. Some of them lead me on, make me feel like they like me, but they don’t. It’s a very confusing game to me because I don’t know what’s a hint and what isn’t. I don’t know how to play the game, as an autistic person. I actually gained an attraction for the mean girl type because they were the only women who would really show clear inves…

You do realize that that character was depicted as a shitty person? Like the point of the character he’d played was that he was a miserable misanthrope
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 11:10 PM

Bro, respectfully, that is a prejudiced way of thinking to imply that. His wording indicates a state of emotions that override reality, he has very hateful and vengeful wording. the absence of male attention may not be overtly harmful, the desire for them to regret their complaints carries an undercurrent of retribution.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 11:06 PM

I don’t know.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 10:43 PM

News flash, bad people exist. This isn’t indicative that all or most men are like this, but some men genuine hate women and want them to suffer, that’s just the reality of it. I wouldn’t defend him if I were you tbh
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 10:41 PM
1

That’s the implication of what’s being said. The person clearly wants women to suffer a consequence, that’s the very clear implication. The core of the scenario is the idea that women who complain about male attention should experience the opposite. They even derive pleasure (“satisfying”) from seeing discomfort or regret that the women feel. That’s pretty much a hallmark revenge fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 10:35 PM

someone literally just admitted to that lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 09:58 PM

It’s not about all or most men, it’s about specific people who just want to see others suffer because they do. It’s not exclusive to men.

It’s not really, I think it’s an average representation of what feminists are. I can guarantee you that average feminist doesn’t think all men are rapists or get behind the whole “kill all men” bs

/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 09:23 PM

They don’t say that in feminist spaces Source, I engage in them
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 09:22 PM

For some men it is, for others it isn’t. And I had said “some men” for that very reason, because it is few.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 09:13 PM

So you regularly involve yourself in feminists spaces? Because I’ve heard plenty of hate-filled, dehumanizing comments from misogynists who happen to be men.. that we deserve to die, that we have lizard brains, that we are shallow and superficial, that we are incapable of feeling emotions a like men can, that the worst thing that’s ever happened to society is our attainment of rights, that men don’t rape women and the entire issue is a scam for lies and attention (apparently it’s every women’s f…

If a man visits ONLY prostitutes and refuses to date women and ONLY uses sex toys and refuses to date women Then yes, he is a misogynist

Reread the post title.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 08:48 PM

I’m a feminist but have never identified with this ideology. I think you are confusing misandrists or extreme, self proclaimed feminists yet not true feminists with actual feminists. I engage in feminist discourse quite often and am involved in feminist spaces yet have never heard these takes once, save for the “every man is a polite risk rapist” It sounds more in line, but the reverse of, what I regularly hear from misogynists online. So no, that is not “typical feminist stuff”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 08:46 PM

If they were exploiting women who they knew were sex trafficked then it would signify reduced empathy and contempt, but not full on hatred.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 08:41 PM

It depends on intent, I don’t think it’s a binary designation of hatred in any regard. Some might, some might not.

Dating apps should be condemned in general because their model is inherently exploitative towards men
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 08:13 PM

No, but if a man replaces women with that then likely. I am not saying it’s because men hate women. I have literally just relayed that most men don’t think this way, and provided an earlier link that says misogynistic individuals, not men, are more likely to be robosexual. So it’s not that men hate women, it’s that misogynistic individuals do. POD also doesn’t represent the majority of how men feel. Thats misandry to assume so in itself with the very uninformed and scathing takes presented on th…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 08:11 PM

Did you make this statement because that’s how you feel? So you’re assuming others have your same perception.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 08:08 PM

It’s not “the majority of men,” it’s actually been proven that men who are more likely to want sex robots are more likely to be misogynistic https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/02654075241234377

From what I’ve seen if a woman fails, it’s because she’s a woman, and women are incompetent, so it’s expected. This isn't my view but how society sees us

Women more commonly get sexual comments irl and online. I can’t tell you how many creepy or raped DMs I’ve gotten over the years, as well as disgusting sexual comments. Women report that they experience sexual remarks and harassment from ages as young as 9. I never said it doesn’t affect men or the above dilemma isn’t an issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 07:44 PM

Seeing as you’re diagnosed with ASPD, I’d warrant this perspective applies toy yourself, and not the whole of men
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 07:40 PM

Some men aren’t able to get girlfriends. This is the closest thing to a woman they can obtain, or they may feel too much anxiety to acquire true intimacy. Some people don’t want the complexity or hassle of a relationship. They may or may not see women as human beings, and view that they are too entitled or require too much maintenance. An AI or robotic woman can be subservient to them no matter what. They will never question them, they will never rebel, they will never act in a way that they dee…

Many men just don’t really think about the implications or are too ashamed to discuss their SA. I would definitely warrant that they underreport comparatively. Some don’t even believe men can get raped at all. I have also observed that strange trend you’ve mentioned. when a woman fails, it’s because she’s a woman, but when a man fails, its because he’d just “made a mistake.”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 07:22 PM

I think “mansplaining” is a strange term for it. It’s more “gender-based condescension” and it is a symptom of, of a larger issue at hand, I.e., the heightened assumption of female incompetence, which can then manifest in larger, more impactful behaviors that have consequences down the line.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 06:54 PM

I don’t think in the general sense, that men or women are more accountable. My father, for example, never admits when his stance is wrong, and also doesn’t apologize. He will just double down when he doesn’t know what he is talking about. Examples of people failing to take accountability include: Cheaters. “The opportunity just came up,” or “she/he wasn’t satisfying my needs,” etc. Creeps and SA. As a lesbian, I get that whole “our eyes are just drawn to it,” because mine are as well. But it’s n…

Ngl, I used to think the same way when I was confused about my sexuality. I didn’t like the feeling it gave me and had a rather defensive reaction. It’s the social progression of fashion that many find jarring. What might seem provocative to some could be viewed as “normal summer attire” to others. During warmer weather, people often wear lighter and more breathable clothing. You say that things aren’t "that hot," but you fail to account that comfort levels are subjective. “Human females are mor…

I think that is a severely reductionist view of what metoo is. I think the #MeToo movement generally led to an important conversation regarding sexual harassment and assault. It brought to light the pervasive nature of these issues and aimed to create safer environments for everyone, particularly women. However, your perception that it led to men being overly cautious or afraid to interact with female colleagues is flawed. Some men may feel uncertain about boundaries, but many organizations have…

/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 12:17 AM

I am personally the opposite end of that perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 12:15 AM

I apologize, I frequently hear those terms as insults. As for your response, I’d warrant it lacks nuance. “Lesbian” isn’t an activist group. In more recent times, the association of body hair with unattractiveness in women has been reinforced by media, advertising, and popular culture, which often depict hairless women as the ideal standard of beauty. This has led many women to feel pressured to remove their body hair in order to conform to societal expectations. while some lesbians may choose n…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 12:05 AM

No, my intonation is not neutral in the above comment. “It’s actually insane in some regards” indicates that. Though, your response is more emotional than my own initial statement. You’re quite hyperbolic for a self-proclaimed ‘thinking man.’ You ignore the complexity of how humans present and specific social standards. I see this quite often on Reddit, echo chambers tend to promote such thinking standards
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 11:51 PM

A prevalent assumption on the internet I directed towards women is that we are inherently emotional or are coming from an emotional place. I’ve had online men in certain communities hurl insults at a more put together retort with substantiating evidence. Then the redditor’s word, despite being quite biased and having zero substantiation, is trusted over my own. My neutral tone is interpreted as “crying,” or “bitching.” It’s actually insane in some regards. I’m sure men experience this too online…

That was my point. They only have a superficial idea of who or what you are as a person if they are random or not acquainted with me. My gf technically doesn’t hold authority over me, yet I tend to listen to her. It has mended my relationship greatly and fosters better relations.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 10:20 PM
1

I think it comes from personal experience. I used to get only misogynistic videos as I was engaging with them frequently, commenting and arguing with the very insane takes that they put forth. This doesn’t mean there’s not an underlying issue of misogyny in certain areas, however. I am very into the gaming sphere in regards to content creation and regularly see misogynistic takes related to topics I enjoy. I imagine the same is with misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 10:18 PM

I think i view it differently than red pill individuals would. They have a rather simplified and extreme application of what standards women tend to have, mostly deriving their standards from dating apps. They generally concede that if an individual is of a certain height, they will never be loved by women. While short men are disadvantaged, just the proportion how many women tend to have a negative view of short men.

A certain subset of men tend to take rejection personally, they feel as if it indicates that something is inherently wrong with them. They view attraction as a thing to be earned. If a woman doesn’t show initial attraction, they can continue working towards it and ultimately “earn” it. This is just how men are raised, and is heavily portrayed in the media. In reality, attraction is far more spontaneous and unpredictable in my experience. Once I accepted that, I felt calmer asking women out.

2%-5% of rape accusations are false. Few women report rape at all. Yeah I’ve been discriminated at work. Do you really think such a large group of people would engage in a huge conspiracy to lie about that? I’ve been told to my face by interviewers that they don’t hire women.

My biggest turn off in a partner is being a man Because I am gay Gotcha
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/24 05:06 PM

I’d warrant that it’s a purely social phenomenon. It’s that short individuals are more commonly mistreated, stripped of their confidence and infantilized. Taller people are perceived as more competent and thus favored with benefits, leadership positions and promotions.

They’re not even our immutable traits, he has it backwards. He’s Mormon, and the LDS Church teaches that men and women have distinct and divinely appointed roles. In his mind, women are sensitive and very sociable whereas men are stoic and don’t care whether they befriend anybody. It reinforces the ultimate authority of God and corroborates the beliefs that he was taught very heavily during his life
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/24 03:11 PM

Had a convo with my dad recently. “Autistic men and women are different in that autistic men van have no friends and not care. They’re not preoccupied with their social lives.” I told him that I had no friends and don’t care as an autistic woman and he accused me of lying 🫠 meanwhile my little autistic brother is very social and needs friends to function

I’ve observed far more insults directed at women for being fat online than men
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/24 02:25 PM

I think it’s mostly slut shaming behavior, threats of sexual violence and looks-related comments. Women are around 3x more likely to be sexually harassed online. I’ve seen rape victims be insulted for what they were wearing. I’ve seen women who look slightly unattractive get insulted for not being 10/10. Ive seen tik toks where the woman wasn’t attractive get filled with snide comments about body shape, facial features and generally dehumanizing remarks. Ive also seen women get insulted for exis…

One thing I’ve had to learn about women the hard way is that typical courtship behavior does not land me in the waters of attraction. I can work at something tirelessly, and it’s futile in the long run. I never really aimed to get large swathes of women at once. I just want one gf. Funnily enough, I’m actually a virgin. If I were hetero this definitely wouldn’t be the case. Attraction in the dating sphere is very spontaneous. They usually can’t control it. Even if I am to work for it, there is n…

For example, many begin to cohabitate after they marry, which may lead to issues not yet foreseen arising. This has little to do with mutual respect. /r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 07:43 PM

The thing about autistic men is that y’all are diagnosed far earlier and given much more support, which paradoxically impedes your social development in some areas. Autistic girls are usually punished or yelled at if they display autistic behaviors. We get the autism bullied out of us and are forced to adapt from an early age. This ultimately benefits us in the dating game as we learn how to hide our strange behaviors really well. Autistic women are also far more likely to be queer, see lthe ext…

Let’s take your sample here. First of all, you are deriving your data from Reddit, which is, in itself, majority male and not representative of the general population. Secondly, you are assuming that a single subreddit, AITA, is adequately generalizable to the whole of women. How did you know that it was women making those judgements? Let’s take the sister sub of AITA, r/amioverreacting, wherein the opposite trend can be observed. Does this mean men blame women for everything, or does it mean th…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 07:35 PM

There is nothing “logical” about this presumption because if assumes that women only work in the context of what they can provide for other men, namely the father. Women have lives outside of getting fucked, and will not always be heterosexual, especially if you traumatize her with this mindset. You are also concerningly presenting this hypothetical daughter as if she is supposed to procreate with the father. What’s rational is to remember that it is a human’s natural instinct to procreate. The power imbalance is gone, so no. The pursuit of transactional relationships, where men offer financial support or other benefits in exchange for companionship or intimacy, is a common theme among passport bros. This reduces relationships to mere transactions rather than genuine connections based on mutual respect and affection. /r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 06:58 PM

Why are some men so much more likely to hold onto old social precedents than men? When faced with the fact that men are forced to hold in their emotions, they are more likely to say “it is how it is” rather than assess that genuine mental health crisis and attempt to move the standard, which would be way better for society

What I’ve seen in heterosexual couples is that they generally lack adequate communication skills and empathy to some degrees. Gender roles enforce two major precedents that impede this: A. Men are raised to have negligent social skills. They don’t have very high emotional intelligence and generally miss subtle social cues that women give off. This gets in the way of relationship-building and friendship-making, causing a man to be lonelier. B. Women are generally raised not to be confrontational.…

You know when you se an AITA post that’s so obviously fake because no person would ever act in the way that they did in the post? Yeah, it’s basically that. I also have seen posters assume that people who were talking online were women simply for speaking about feminist issues, but the reason you might not see it as often is because male is the default on Reddit, so it’s a lot harder to break from that assumption than it is to conform to it

/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 07:41 PM

Men had more power than women. Though it wasn’t as much as those at the top. The patriarchy is a very highly documented phenomenon and it isn’t meant to blame men. It’s just how things were, factually.

I do care for that sort of nuance, but war isn’t a constant conflict that was always in the lives of men. Childbirth was constant. Also, almost every woman was stripped of rights. Most men didn’t go to war
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 02:52 AM

They simply had more rights is all. Were higher up in the hierarchy

Female privilege? These women were sold as property at a young age to their husbands 💀 they had no choice
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 02:34 AM
1

My point is women were denied medical privileges globally. Women also didn’t have a choice in having kids.they had to and were raped, even if they really didn’t want to. It’s just how life was back then. I was comparing war deaths during the 1900s to maternal deaths.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 02:32 AM

And women would die horribly during childbirth, at double the rate, with no compensation nor any rights

But men had more rights than women
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 02:17 AM

I never even implied that men forced women to die in childbirth. I wasn’t saying “men bad” I was saying “life for women sucked back then”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 02:17 AM

While peasant men might not have owned land or held power, they generally had more legal rights than women. Under coverture laws, married women couldn't own property, enter contracts, or earn a salary in their own name, which wasn't the case for men. It’s not these men’s faults that this was the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 02:16 AM
1

I’m not talking about men. I’m not blaming men. I’m not saying men were the reason why this happened. I’m talking about women, not men. I’m not even radfem or idpol. I never said men were monoliths that oppressed women. All I said was that society oppressed them, not men.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 02:13 AM
1

Yeah, and women died during childbirth easily and commonly. Nearly double of how many men died during wartime in the height of our battles. In many cultures, women were denied the right to own property or inherit wealth. Think of coverture. Women were often not considered full legal persons. At all. Historically, women were frequently denied access to education, so they couldn’t pursue anything other than motherhood and would be raped freely by their husbands. Women's employment opportunities we…

/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 07:16 PM

Is evolution about a winning strategy? No. The average person has learned in the past that evolution is about survival of the fittest. However, this is not the case. It’s more so “survival of the fittest enough” Women did hunt. Smaller game while using tools. A good, yet not “winning” strategy is variation based upon environmental conditions… and we had shown that significantly during our hunter gatherer period.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 07:08 PM

I know what systemizing is. I’m a neuro major. Brains can’t “show traits,” and certainly can’t tell you much about ingrained traits. You can make a correlation based upon data, but you can’t make a definitive conclusion regarding nature or nurture. Each area of the brain is known for such a complex range of tasks that our inferences become questionable at best in some regards. For example, a study I’ve just found says “ We observed that the female participants (n = 10) showed stronger activation…

I’d literally just said that not all men ever had a conspiracy to oppress women. The men at the upper echelons of society did. Does this mean slavery is how society evolved?

What do you mean by “division of labor based upon sex?” What labor duties were restricted to men or women?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 06:23 PM
1

No, this implies a conscious effort. The idea that "all men" consciously banded together to oppress women is a gross oversimplification. Gender roles and norms developed over centuries and were influenced by a variety of factors including economics, religion, and social structures. While many men throughout history did uphold and benefit from patriarchal systems, it doesn't mean all men consciously aimed to oppress women. Gender oppression intersected with other forms of oppression such as class…

Men were oppressed under the system, too. So is that natural? And ask anthropologists, I’ve discussed it with them and they said that hunter gatherers, our more ‘Natural’ selves, were far more egalitarian. It wasn’t until we became agrarian that patriarchy was formed and oppressed women.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 12:48 PM

What’s the fun on being overly reliant on someone else? There’s no autonomy there. Especially at the current divorce rate, if women were to be stripped of these rights, they would be forced to stay with men they don’t love because they’d have no skills to support themselves or their children. Additionally, divorce would be even harder on men than it is now as he would have to pay far more to provide for his children.

Aren’t men making more than women, still? It is true that American women today have unprecedented access to education and opportunities compared to previous generations. Additionally, women have served and continue to serve in the military actively, and their contributions and sacrifices should not be minimized. Women's suf…

Women make up 70% of the nations’s poor and 83% of the extreme poor. Most of the women who are homeless are trafficked or forced into prostitution. Women who are homeless are also far more likely to go to shelters as there is a very high rate of sexual abuse and rape for them. Men prefer not to use the shelters because they can camp if they please and they will be free to use drugs and chill with other men.

A patriarchy is a society in which those who hold power are largely male. You just feel attacked because you think patriarchy = man, and that’s the end of what is being said. In our society, this is not the case at all because men generally earn far more than women. There are far more women in extreme poverty than men. Though, I would not classify such as a patriarchy if those who hold the majority of power in society were female.

I assure you I am not “screaming” anything. You really extrapolated incredibly biased information, some of which was not present in my initial comment, from my above statement. Then why is it that resumes with male names are rated higher than resumes with female names with the exact same criteria. women are also often expected to take on a larger share of domestic responsibilities, which can limit their career advancement opportunities. Women who exhibit strong leadership qualities might be judged more harshly compared to their male counterparts. This is repeatedly documented. There’s also an issue of networking. Men will more often have more access to informal network…

The very definition of patriarchy entails large, yet not total exclusion. It does not necessarily imply that women are wholly prevented from the acquisition of power, but implies that systemic and cultural norms favor men and impede women from gaining access to the top. I think it’s the way they are used. Men being more “visual” or liking “younger women” is usually used as justification or an excuse for socially less acceptable behavior. Some if it is true, and a biological fact, though some of it is an oversimplification. The data speaks for itself. I’m not into men, but that seems accurate. Confining women to this very limited role is counterproductive to the progression of society. You are also heavily stereotyping men, assuming that they (despite being t…
