A smaller more agile companies IT group is the environments I have enjoyed the most. Most breath of opportunities, least repetitive, more comradery. Large companies IT makes it easier to be just another face with one or two responsibilities. While Specializing will often get you the largest paycheck it can also be the hardest to replace IMO. Much truth here. She's been actually pushing on me for a while to take more of a leadership role on. Look back at past conversations and arguments and she was asking for some of the things I have been reading about.
