I think you lucked out that you didn't get her number - she's probably worse than the guy, if you think about it. Drama filled life and guys chasing her left and right - would have been a huge waste of your time. Who knows? You don't know the whole story - but from what you've described, the girl had baggage.

Thank you for your input. Apparently, I'm clueless when it comes to realm of dating. To be honest, it hurts. I just didn't realize it until now.

Yeah; you’re probably right. Maybe I’m over thinking it. I want to analyze everything and make improvements to hopefully approach the next situation correctly and effectively.

I understand. I’m mature enough to handle rejection, but I can see your point. I just want a way to improve. Thank you for your input :-)

I’m one of those people that would rather be told why than given a white lie. That way, I can use that to improve. Personally, I think it’s cruel to play games with people’s emotions. Thanks for your input on this.

It’s difficult, and frustrating because you can never figure out what exactly to change or what to do differently?

I've come to the realization that dating apps are a waste of time as no one is truthful in what they're looking for, nor do they take the concept of dating seriously. I matched with this one girl - we had a great conversation, eventually she gave me her phone number. We talked, went on a couple of dates and then tells me My life is too hectic for any kind of relationship. SO WHY ARE YOU ON A DATING APP???????

Context: I met a girl using an online dating app. We seemed into each other. Talked for a week and decided to do a casual meetup in public. Well, it didn't pan out as well as I would have hoped. I did a lot of talking and she listened for quite a while. Eventually she told her story and threw in a few comments but that was it. In full disclosure, the conversation felt lopsided. I asked a lot of questions. (In hindsight, she might have thought it was an interview to her) but she didn't seem as in…

This resonates with me because when I had a meet-up with a girl I had met online, she was very talkative. All I did was listen and rarely said a word. I would occasionally nod my head back and forth to show I was listening. Surprisingly, she was receptive to this and told me; you seem like someone I could speak to without fear of judgement or criticism. Probably the only genuine compliment I ever received.

The only thing you need to know about girls like these, 1. Never change 2 Daddy issues. (abuse; mental, physical, emotional).

Pardon me, I seem to have missed that. Thank you for pointing that out.

She used you as her, scapegoat. It's a second option in case something goes wrong with Ex 1. Until, she patches things up. Her first boyfriend always wins because she's an abused individual that has succumb to that particular kind of treatment. In a way, it's like a drug that only intensifies with each reoccurring moment of abuse. The worse the pain, the stronger the relationship. Those signs were all in your face and it's unfortunate you had to live through that. Believe me when I say, I encoun…
