I missed that bus 20 years ago. Likely never gonna get on it

Well, damn I guess I shouldn’t talk to any girls then

I’ve got plenty of skills, sense of humor, and am fairly educated. Can’t land a number to save my life. I’ve been spending my time understanding that I’m meant to be alone

I enjoy Mark Manson, he’s pretty good overall! I do agree with “if it’s not a fuck yes, it’s a no”. I want something or someone to be all in or all out, have no want nor need for someone who’s unsure

I don’t generally date co-workers or anyone from work, tends to complicate things.

I try to space it out, not seem needy or whatever, but I can never really seem to get a good momentum going

I tend to be too available and also kinda needy seeming. If I do nothing, then I get nothing. I put in effort and it’s just a waste. There’s no winning either way.

It’s terrible. Friendship is very important but honesty is as well, especially with yourself. I only my former friends were more understanding as to why I did it. I lost my shit and just wanted this to not happen. I wanted to be chosen for once.

I was deceitful, I tried to accept friendship but still wanted the other outcome. Finally, things came to a head and she was starting to begin talking to some guy. Some old flame of hers who may or may not have been using her to cheat. I didn’t care for the fact that she was trying to hide that from me (despite her already having told me my feelings were unreturned) It felt like she was just trying to use me for attention and that was what really bothered me about the whole thing. That I was jus…

29, tried in the past to establish meaningful relationships, but screwed them up due to insecurities. Nowadays, no girl I like finds me attractive and so I continue as I am. I don’t do apps because I just don’t like the concept. I’m also not very good at texting or messaging.

I’m not too sure what I could actually fix. I keep hearing I’m a great guy, but then I get turned away so I’m clearly not that great. I dunno, I just know I’m tired of wasting my time.

I just don’t know how to take rejection well. After constant rejection, it just gets exhausting. I know what I bring to the table but I’m tired of no one else realizing it.

I recently did No Contact so I could get over a girl who didn’t feel the same. We were friends, but the situation just became overly complicated. There was a lack of honesty that I feel outweighed the friendship and I figured it was too far gone. In hindsight, there might’ve been a way to salvage it but now’s too late. She’s happy and I’m glad for her more or less.

I can’t ghost people, I’d rather be straight with them. Just as well, they rarely argue. I do have a habit of not telling them why so that doesn’t help.

No, never. I dislike a lot of the social games but admit that my earnest nature can be a bit off-putting at times. The only problem is that in doing No Contact, my friends tend to think I’m a dick since I’m not willing to do that whole part of the social contract. I’m still gonna proceed as I feel is necessary, but wish they’d try to understand.

I use No Contact as my farewell of sorts. I don’t like complications in my life so I’d rather have a clean break away from the person. I let them know that I’ll not be contacting them in the future, near or otherwise and that they shouldn’t contact me either. I have been guilty of making someone my primary focus on more than one occasion. I try to be affectionate, but have yet to find a proper balance on it. My life isn’t bustling but I’d hardly call it boring.

A lot of people get married for the wrong reasons and also don’t really discuss what they want out of their relationships like a serious real discussion. It’s a shame but a lot of people just want to “avoid a fight”. Worst still, I find the best memes and yet I’m overlooked when I do get out there hahaha

At my age, most girls around my town are married, about to be divorced or looking only to have fun and not settle down yet. I’m trying to heal from my latest fracas, but I’m slowly getting back out there. It’s not for a lack of trying, keep trying to hit up girls who can’t see my worth. Gotta work on myself so I seek out people who can. Can’t do long distance, I need to physically be around someone.

“Chadette” Lady Chad? I dunno, do it, talk to dudes and shit!

You got time then. Go talk to chicks, get turned down and say fuck it who cares, work on yourself and be a chad. Fear is bullshit and it’s only now I see it.

Again, it’s on my end. I’m (slightly) better at it in person, I find texting mostly boring, she’s gotta be real special in order for me to actually look forward to texting or dms or whatever.

Self-improvement is a constant, it’s also very unsexy. No cool montages or inspirational speeches. How much more driven to improve would people be if that were the case.

Hang in there, bud. Romance can be fun, but there’s a lot of mundane shit to the whole thing that a lot of people don’t realize is all part of it. They cling to these toxic standards and ideals of love that miss the importance of trust, respect and that ability to function independently. As Mark Manson put it, love is overrated.

Oh yeah, got learn that one a bit ago. It only feels bad because everyone treats me like some charity case. Also, I’m seeing my former friends in some very toxic relationships and I don’t envy that, had my fair share of toxicity.

True, the pandemic is not making it easy though. Online dating’s a bust, personally. Oh well, I’ll figure it out, not worry about it for too long.

I have just recently made that mistake myself. I was over-invested in someone who had none. We were really good friends (or at least I thought) but she seemed a bit distant in the last days of our friendship. She knew of my interest in her and we had talked about it. I had hoped that would’ve been the end of it and we could’ve stayed honest with each other. My feelings deepened (foolishness), she started talking to someone and I learned of it. She went out of her way to keep it from me and while…

Stopped being friends with someone I realized I was in love with, scored a number here and there but nothing’s really come of it. Just spending my time being single, but I don’t hate it like I did when I was younger. I still miss her very much, but she seems happy with her new bf. I just gotta keep going forward.
