While I completely support the soldiers fighting for our freedoms, sadly they don’t seem to have those freedoms once they’re made to sign a contract. They signed a contract specifically saying they can't quit for X amount of time. I get your point, but you're really stretching. The army wouldn't really work if soldiers could sign up in peace time and just quit whenever a war starts.

"Legal" abortions should be a thing. Basically men can formally sever themselves from a pregnancy. No financial obligations, but also no parental rights. But it has to be done before a certain point in the pregnancy, and obviously the women has to be informed. Not a perfect solution. But at least it would give some legal recourse to men.

I'd argue 3rd wave ended at some point in the 00's or 10's, probably with the rise of social media. 3rd wave was originally about inclusiveness. Modern feminism (at least online) seems to be based more on outrage and exclusivity.

I did something like this when I used to teach elementary. I didn't do an actual club, and I didn't give out jackets or ties. I had one tie they all had to share. But I taught them how to shake hands properly, how to tie a tie, how to do a few basic handy tasks, and how to talk about and handle negative emotions. (Puberty is a helluva drug.) There does seem to be a pattern with prominent social justice types turning out to be predators. I think it is sort of the liberal equivalent of all those anti gay politicians and pastors who got caught with male prostitutes and whatnot. Loudest people in the room often have something to hide.

Absolutely. The examples I gave were when I taught middle school, but I also taught elementary. With kids that young you don't want to give anyone even the seed of a suspicion. Being the only male teacher in the school already puts you in people's radar.

I should also say I had small class sizes one year (I was special ed at the time) and had to pressure the counselors to shuffle student schedules to make sure girls were never isolated with me. It's such a huge risk to be alone with a kid as a male teacher. Same if I had a planning period and a girl student came in to discuss something. I'd walk with her to the door frame. Being alone made me legitimately afraid.

Used to be a teacher. Student once casually mentioned she could accuse me of molesting her if she wanted. Went to the admins and nothing came of it. But it was a nervous day or two for me. There's a reason teachers typically put their desk in line of sight of the class door.

I feel like English departments are the most SJW-infested. I studied history and it was pretty politically neutral. And even the SJWish stuff (like having to say CE and BCE instead of AD and BC) was handled pretty casually by the professors. None of this reeeeeeee bullshit. I don't really care much about it from a men's rights perspective. I'm more annoyed that it tarnishes the original sculpture.
