Thank you, I’m glad someone gets it. 9/10 posts on here I’m in line with the general consensus, but the one time I point out a potential issue some overboard person comes out and tries to make this seem like a regular crazy and hateful sub. Still, in comparison this sub overall is a hub of sanity and I generally don’t feel like on I’m eggshells over a lava pit.

I’m mainly going off a story I heard about a psychopath kid around this age who used a knife on an older girl. Otherwise yeah, I agree it’s unlikely that he actually did force the girl and she likely was the real rapist, but without knowing the full story I try not to fully assume.

Now, devils advocate, it could be a genuine case where the boy was the aggressor (even with age difference he could have been stronger or used a weapon/drugs). Despite saying this multiple times, I’ll try to explain it even more clearly. The woman getting pregnant is the involuntary responsibility. Just like the muscle spasm, she did not will it to happen, but HER body screwed up(and of course the rape wasn’t her fault, but the pregnancy was her body’s fault, evolution screwed us in that regard). The argument is about whether or not a fetus should be considered a person. If someone is against it, they believe the fetus qualifies. In that case, the healthcare would need to be considered for both, and since ending one’s life is worse than condemning one’s quality(generally speaking) of life. You may believe a fetus isn’t a life, but many disagree and that is where the issue comes in. It isn’t about choice and autonomy, but about definition.
