Almost Got Killed Last NightYou matter, and you’ll need to believe that if you’re going to find the right person to start a family with. Your honesty to yourself will do more for the happiness of your future family’s long term health than money alone, so be the dad you want to be before you have kids- by way of patience, strength, and involvement in the things that matter to you (be it community, faith, the arts, etc…). A carefully honed and polished edge lasts longer under stress, so take this time work on being who you w… | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/04/25 03:44 AM
Splitting costs over CS?Tough call, man, and it's going to take a working knowledge of your ex and her motives for you to get a handle on. I'm sure there are enough experienced members here to talk you through this chess match. Here's my take: I contribute anything I can beyond the required CS and insurance, because I know I'm in a position to do so and I don't want my son to favor one of us over the other because of money. I want him to have what he needs, and not stress about his mom's budget. Anything extra is usual… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/10/21 03:34 AM

If s… | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/09/21 02:45 PM |

I heard and read that I would be ostracized by our couple friends, but the reality is worse than I thought!I've made new friends. Friends that dont associate me with being part of a couple. The ones that want to be like that can have their life. I'm sorry, man. It still sucks when people do this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/07/19 08:26 PM
a painful story and a few questions.Just wanted you to know that you were heard. It's ok to not be ok with your life being upended, right now. Just don't miss opportunities to grow! | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/02/19 08:25 PM
a painful story and a few questions.I don't have the answers to your legal or tax questions, but i can lend some insight that may help with the mental and emotional grief. For me, therapy was very helpful. I got lucky and found a forward thinking therapist that didn't coddle me into pitying myself (which i am in no way implying or accusing you of, dear brother). I'll admit that my situation is different, and in time i may share with the group, but grief is real. If you're not ready for a therapist, I'm sure there are several of us… | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/02/19 05:36 PM
