As a woman, I hate the "etiquette" rules. When my fiance and I were messaging after meeting on an app, but before meeting in person, we just messaged. It had more of a natural flow that way, and didn't feel all tense and weird. Also, screw the "dating rule" of waiting a week before going on a second date. We knew almost immediately during our first date that we wanted to see each other again, and made plans for the next night. Seriously, I read through these things, and all I see is everyone bei…

In groups where the friends have similar taste in clothing, or have shopped together, it can happen frequently. In high school, my sister and I (I'm female) had almost identical taste in clothing. It was common for each of us to come out of our rooms in the morning, all ready for school, only to be dressed nearly identical (sometimes slightly off, but close enough that we would look the same at a glance). I usually refused to change, as I'm nearly 2 years older, and would claim seniority.

Be the funny one. Seriously. I go for the funny one around 90% of the time. Basically it's a more mature way of saying "Hey, look at me!" Girls love a sense of humor. Another thing I've noticed in these threads is that many of the guys here focus on self help books and seminars/blogs. Why? Girls like guys who are well rounded. Go get a hobby. An interesting one. Watch a few popular shows. Like pretty geeky girls (hint: the cute geeky girls tend to like guys who are more plain looking)? Well, wat…

Girl here. Yes. This. This right here. I hope every guy here reads this and takes it to heart.

Girl here. I agree with what you are saying about the differences between the types. I hate how PUAs do stuff, but that doesn't change that what they do works for a reason.

Many guys lose interest when the chase is over simply because they saw the whole thing as a game, and once they've closed and conquered, they need a new opponent for it to be interesting. When I was in my early 20's my dad accused me of having the male mentality of "find 'em, fuck 'em, forget 'em." Hell, my longest relationship was because I finally hooked up with a friend of mine's brother, and the condom broke and I got pregnant. That actually lasted around 7 years, but I was bored with him, a…

I was so tired. Sorry about that. It did give me a laugh though. If I hadn't had to work this morning, I would have stayed on longer. I really did enjoy bantering about books and weightloss.

You're sweet. Thank you :) I bet you know several women like me, you just don't realize it. Either way, you'll find one, I'm sure. And if you want pointers you can pm me.

Did we just make nice? Cool. I'm off to bed. Have a good night.

Here's my opinion, and argument in favor of pleasure reading: it gives common ground for those who can't think of anything to talk about. Sadly, pop culture shoves stupid shit like Jersey Shore down our throats, but there are some halfway intelligent. shows or books, or shows based on books out there. And many women read or watch them. It can be an ice breaker or is great when a cold approach is stalling. As for GoT, the show: the gore is done really well, there's a ton of nudity, and Sean Bean …

Lol. Me too, actually. After I left my abusive ex husband (I started out at a healthy weight, then started stress eating on top of having a few kids), I started taking care of myself. Bacon was one of the foods he refused to let be in the house because he claimed it was unhealthy. Forget all the ice cream and fried chicken he kept in the house. Anyway, there was one week right after I left where all I ate was bacon and eggs, and I lost 15 lbs. It was the tastiest weight I ever lost. I plateaued …

I love Stephen's work. I've not gotten to read all of his books, but I've read quite a bit. Haven't gotten around to Cell, even though it's on my bookshelf. I truly enjoyed the five books out so far. Just the right mix of blood, gore and sex. Sometimes all in the same scene. As for self improvement books (and videos), my mother was all about those when I was growing up and she kind of burned me out on them. I prefer my father's approach better: learn through observation. Mom always said that eve…

Fair enough. You have nothing to prove to me, true. As for taking a joke, I suppose I could have if you'd told one. shrug No bacon off of my plate, I guess. (See, that was a joke since I'm not a size 4, and people think anyone who doesn't fit society's purview on what should be normal only eat bacon and cake.)

I wouldn't call what you're doing "shining." Most of what you said here only applies to those who have low self esteem. I tend to think I'm awesome, and I'm hella fun, thanks. Of course, with your attitude it's no wonder fat women find you boring (because that IS what it boils down to: we're taught to use our brains instead of looks, which means we also attract a different caliber of male, and therefore expect to be entertained with wit, not handsome smiles and narcissistic "me me me" talk).

He and I have actually had a whole conversation about the entire interaction. Laugh all you want, as it may seem funny to an outsider. Fact of the matter is this: I can go to pretty much any bar or wherever I want and pick a guy out. I don't have to use any tricks or games on him, all I have to ask is if he wants to fuck, and 90% of the time I can close the deal. It doesn't matter if he's considered out of my league or not, I'll get laid. However, as everyone in Seddit seems well aware, women ta…

In my lifetime? Oh god I don't know. Enough? And any time I wanted to close, it happened. Didn't matter what he looked like or if he was out of my league, I was able to close. It's different for women though. We grow up learning kino. Touch is in everything we do. And all women have to do is zero in on a guy and tell him she's down for sex. I was also a psychology major in college with a focus on sexuality. The usual tricks of the game don't work on me. For the record, my boyfriend (who was able…

I agree with thisisntjet. Too many approaches in such a place is a bad idea. Women talk. They compare men out "there" when they're in the bathroom. You didn't think we were afraid to go alone, did you? No. We talk about the people out in the venue. If you approach a ton, women notice and they'll stop being receptive.

As a woman, I agree with you. A lot of these threads seem to me to be a bunch of guys overthinking stuff. Even the guys who close seem to not understand why. Stop overthinking. Yes, go out and practice. Find your own style. Pull from here and there and make your own way of doing things. Women seriously get tired of being approached by the same guy in a different body over and over again. Bored women don't let you close. Be yourself. If you're interested, act interested. We LIKE that. If you are …

As a woman, I say if she wants to, then it's a good idea. Edit: especially if you're interested in her. It shows that you have more than a casual interest. Also, even if you barely know her, I don't see a problem. I've skyped with people I met online before meeting them. It's a great way to keep from being catfished.

Women usually know within the first few minutes of meeting a guy whether they want to sleep with him or not. Sometimes that changes as the time wears on, but we usually know right away. The thing that takes time is the fact that society views us in a bad light if we enjoy our bodies for any reason. We have to calculate and plan when an appropriate amount of time has gone by in order to not be considered "easy." Men and women both perpetuate the idea that a woman who doesn't feel shame about her …

Girl here. This. Right here. This. OP, You were successful, now you don't need to play a text game. You just need to TALK TO HER. She wants to learn more about you. She wants you to show interest. If you don't show interest, you will lose HER interest. Fucking Christ.

I don't understand the need for this to be a game. I know many women who would love to receive a text like you sent about getting ice cream. It saves them the anxiety of waiting for you to text them. I have no idea where this idea of "doing this makes you look desperate" came from, but it's just stupid. Seriously, if she isn't a shallow twit, she will think you're sweet, not desperate. On the flip side, many guys wait too long to send a text or call a girl they went on a date/meetup with, and mi…

Curiosity. Today I gave out my first advice to help out someone wanting to fuck a girl like me no strings attached, but finding he's having issues getting them to play along. The men who were advising him were clueless, which wasn't their fault, they just don't have the right perspective. I hope what I told him works.

Fat girl here. One who "takes care of herself except for the weight." Wanna know how he got me into bed within 36 hours of meeting? He talked to me like I was a person. When he touched me, it wasn't to indicate he wanted to sleep with me, it was to emphasize a point. And to the guy who said not to look at her with lust? You're wrong. Dead wrong. Many heavier women don't believe we are worthy of that, but we crave it as much as the thinner girls. There is where the defenses come in. We don't beli…
