"But has it been enough to compensate for centuries of inequality?" Seriously? SERIOUSLY? I am so tired of this attitude. Because women were oppressed before a generation ago doesn't mean that the woman of today are entitled to any sort of compensation. That's like black people today claiming that white people today owe them something because black people used to be slave. God that's fucking stupid. This is common amongst so many women I've met; they don't want equality, they want more power tha…

I definitely understand emotionally abusive relationships, and not seeing it at first. I dated a girl who was constantly insulting me and telling me I was worthless. When I finished being depressed over it, I got really pissed off and broke up with her. Closest I've ever come to hitting anyone in anger.

This is probably the fourth or fifth video/blog I've seen about this in the last few months, and it makes me so angry. This sort of thing happens way, way too often, and goes under-punished. This guy is basically one of the greatest dads, hell, greatest people, I've ever encountered in any form of media.

I had this exact conversation with my dad earlier today, and he was a big follower of the feminist movement, and even he agreed with me.

This subreddit is awesome, but also makes me so mad at the inequality of everything. It's shit like this, world.

Wise words. Too bad she flipped out when I told her how I felt about it.

4.0 had some good ideas......just really, really poor execution.

That's a really good rule. I might try to talk to her about it, but she's kinda......bull-headed about getting her way with everything.

First, upvote, because I like your thinking. Second, I agree with you, but I want to point out that she just threw it in, with no purpose other than because she thinks it's so funny. She's playing it for laughs, not drama. If it was played for drama, as a serious thing, with my buddy having to role play out the effects on his psyche, I wouldn't be upset.

I have always taken role playing fairly seriously, as does this group, so this whole thing is way out of place.

Rape isn't funny. I've seen first hand what it does to people. Whether or not she is hung up on the rape issue is irrelevant to me. I am hung up on it, most definitely, and at the very least, it's a joke in very poor taste.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
