Uh huh. I left my husband after a 30 year marriage and one of the first things I did was cut my hair short. He liked it long, but I found it a burden. 30 years of adjusting my appearance to make "my" man happy... Never again. I saw a great t-shirt recently, in the kids section! "I am enough" Awesome message - All by myself, I am enough.

I was walking my dog last night and the thought came to me; I could be naked and no one would attack me... ...because it's pretty obvious my boy would kill them. I'd made a snap decision to walk him and was wearing a sheer white shirt and boy-leg sports pants. Pretty revealing, but no body else's business. It's so lovely not having to worry about other peoples opinions! And even lovelier knowing if someone does decide to have a go, I'll be doing the community a rubbish removal service.

Right! Even the “good”ones would date an 18 year old past their early 20s and not see anything wrong with it! Add financial inequality to the mix and they’re just being responsible to control her finances. Not abusive at all to have all the power.

Yes! I get hit on by young guys, but I literally can’t even entertain the idea. Grossed out by the idea these boys are younger than my son! He’s 36, you have to be at least 40s. I think the difference is men want something young and fresh (= naive and controllable) to stick their dick in and women want a meeting of the minds. Society reinforces this. The number of lead roles which feature old men getting with young women in literature and film is ridiculous.

It's not just religion that is mancentric. The book, "Invisible Women", is an eye opener to the misogyny which pervades this world like clouds of toxic gas.

Totally agree. People will treat you how you let them. I went to get a blood test and the (male) nurse was sitting at his desk. I asked him if there were many in front of me as 7 cards were gone from the stack, making me technically 8th. But I couldn't see anyone else waiting. He didn't even look up, just grunted at me to take a number and wait. I don't think so. I went up the road to another collection agency, where I was greeted by a lovely (female) nurse and ushered straight in. I don't want …

Adding to the list of how to make yourself safe from attack. Get yourself a lovely big german shepherd. I take my baby for walks after dark, mainly on the back tracks so we don't run into many people. When we do, they avoid us. I was walking on the footpath one night and a guy ahead, turned towards me and crossed the road to approach me. Sigh. My dog is reactive, so I step off the path, behind a tree into the dark and wait for the guy to go past on the path. Waiting, waiting. Where is he? I step…

Okay. That’s just not true. Quietly confident in yourself is attractive but a confident moron is still a moron 🤣 I don’t know about all women, but my friendship group love intelligence. A fascinating conversation will win over big muscles and no brain any day. I’ve actually been attracted initially and turned off when they opened their mouth. You’re thinking and thinking about ways to improve yourself! That’s fabulous 😁 and a lifelong journey. Find your passion and you’ll always have something t…

Lol hilarious maybe reply, If warranted, will be so addressed. I love the word “scrote” it’s very apt. I answered the phone at work and without naming the profession, these people are almost universally so self important and arrogant, they usually annoy me. Anyway, I finished the call, thought I hung up and commented, “Scrote” with accompanying eye roll, to the coworker who happened to be in my office at the time. I hadn’t hung up. He heard, lol and was very polite when he rang back. See, they g…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
