I've seen a ton of guys go single for years because they want the perfect little Tradwife when they themselves weren't anything to write home about. They were bitter, unfulfilled, jaded because they were looking for an unobtainable unicorn based on a fantasy. Standards are fine when they're reasonable, realistic and attainable. That's not the argument here. Instead OP is advocating to everyone since he got himself into a bad situation. He's trying to convince everyone in this subreddit that his …

Why are you advocating for OP telling men to apply their personal and shitty standards across the board? It's antisocial shit like this that makes this sub get a bad rap. It's such a screwed up worldview in general dating to eliminate an entire sunset of potentially (and most likely) wonderful people when you cover it like that. The attitude you and OP have are detrimental to being a good man who deserves the rights this sub stands for.

The bigger picture? The bigger picture is to stop this incel behavior and create better mindsets in men that isn't so pessimistic. Men's rights is bolstered by positivity and light. Not by negative and detrimental attitudes. The bigger picture here is about eliminating a single individuals poor experience and not utilizing it as the truth for everyone, and potentially adding undue caution and ruining future relationships with this terrible fucking advice. Be better.

You know, women are nearly 51% of society. You know men make up the other 49% of society? He's a man, but his, and your opinion sucks. So; I'm challenging your flighty stance based on probably one total relationship issue you had that was likely at least partially your fault. If you were a better stepdad, I'm sure you'd have had a different story to tell. And it's not about "standards"; it's about your own damn inability to deal with the social issues that arise with grace. Your story is not the…

Sounds like a lot of anxiety on your end. Risk averse. General cowardice. Be a man.

I am absolutely going to reject your absolutely shitty experience and dismiss it as a flawed and fallacious philosophy. I am a stepdad to two wonderful kids. I have two kids of my own as well. Their mom loves me to death. I love her. Your anecdotal evidence is not gospel. It is your experience and yours alone. You're not some great stepfather sage. You're just bitter.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
