Horrifying.

That's fine they don't have to, or have want to, have a relationship with her, especially with a child involved. I don't think it's self-serving to say a woman should leave a relationship she is unhappy in to be single again. I also don't think any single woman "deserves" a man. Once she is single it's up to the men who want to date her and her if she gets into a new relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 08:12 AM

She can't control if her husband dies. Also you don't have to "step up" no one is forcing you into a relationship with a single woman with kids. I am saying it is better for her to leave an be single again than stay in an unhappy relationship. Just because she's single and looking doesn't mean any individual man has to get into a relationship with her.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 08:01 AM

Hard disagree. They would definitely prefer their hand to a man they aren't attracted to especially considering a lot don't orgasm through penetration alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 07:52 AM

Maybe the man died. Also if either was very unhappy it's better for them to leave the relationship, a failure would be staying where you're miserable, becoming resentful and therefore making the other person miserable as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 07:45 AM

Do they? I think they would prefer the vibrating silicone to most men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 07:41 AM

Just answer the question.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 07:09 AM

If only care about sex why don't they just use sex toys? Why do they need access to "pussy" at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 07:02 AM

It's not about being happy, it's about being happier single than if she was with a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 06:57 AM

Maybe the men can get some cats too 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 06:28 AM

I don't fear it. It would be nice to have a partner but partnering with someone who you aren't attracted to just for the sake of it seems like hell to me and won't make the man happy either. What is there to gain from a relationship with a woman who is not attracted to you other than a dead bedroom and resentment on both sides.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 06:24 AM

I won't lower my standards as I age because I'm happy single and my standards are the things in a partner are the things about him that would make me more happy than being single. Just having a partner wouldn't make me happier. I think most women are okay with being single unless they find a partner they want. They aren't going to lower their standards because even though they might want a relationship, it is a certain relationship they are looking for. Men treating women as low value at that ag…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 06:19 AM

Not really.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/24 06:01 AM

Only 30% of women 18-29 are single at any one time, so men are picking from a much smaller pool than most realise and some of that 30% is made up of women re-entering the pool after failed relationships, so some single women have kids. The amount of single women who don't have kids is somewhere under 1/3 of the population of 18-29 year olds but idk how far under. The majority of women age 18-29 without kids are in relationships and off the market anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/24 11:44 PM

A lot of people view themselves as "average" because they are a certain height or have a certain bmi but average is not only a few features, but how you compare to others in your age across a range of physical and social features. Some men only mention their height and bmi and take that as a sign that they are "average" and should be accepted by an average woman. It doesn't matter if you are average height and bmi if you have unattractive features in your face (balding/ acne or bad skin/ bad tee…

A man wouldn't get away with it, another woman wouldn't get away with it. We have a sample size of exactly one which is not enough to draw conclusions about an entire gender. This is an extremely fringe case and it is not a sound basis for an argument about a gendered issue. Your whole reasoning is based on hypothetical men who would be punished for doing the same thing (I agree) but it can be easily countered by hypothetical women also being punished for doing the same thing. A sample of one is…

It is completely relevant. If only one woman could get away with this, while 99.9% could not, it forces us to accept that gender is not what allowed her to get away with it. People weren't praising her for it, they were angry and calling for an arrest. We don't know why that didn't happen. Both men and women are arrested for indecent exposure of their penis/ vagina. Suggesting women are not arrested for this crime because "this woman wasn't" is deliberately focusing on the margins.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 04:14 PM

Someone who does this is engaging in bizarre antisocial behaviour which is likely to be interpreted as shocking/ threatening to members of the public as they have already crossed a social boundary and it is not clear what else the person will do.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 03:56 PM

I would say that if a woman did this, they would also be finished. Even in this case it caused public outrage and people wanted her arrested. The fact that she wasn't doesn't allow us to conclude that any other woman could do this/ similar and get away with it. When an individual doesn't face consequences for a bizarre rare behaviour it doesn't mean the whole of her gender could get away with the same bizarre rare behaviour.

Penises, vagina, and ass are not only sexual, they also have a much larger potential to infect as they are linked to the excretory systems. It's about safety rather than just a cultural taboo in those cases.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 03:38 PM

No we don't know that. It is such a bizarre, fringe case that has never been repeated and is not helpful to proving the general point. We don't know what factors affected the decision not to charge this woman. We do know that other women are charged with indecent exposure, so you are being disingenuous to claim that this bizarre fringe case that has not been repeated by the other gender proves that gender influenced the decision not to charge, when we know it does not prevent those charges for w…

It's not bullshit because breasts, at least in Europe, are exposed to the public pretty often, so they are less threatening/ shocking. An ass is not regularly exposed in public and neither is a penis/ vagina so they if they are exposed it is more obviously intended to shock. Idk why America has such a puritanical/ taboo view of breasts and can see them as remotely similar to a vagina.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 03:19 PM

It is not at all clear that gender was the reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 03:14 PM

Eh exposing yourself to urinate is not usually considered indecent exposure as there is no intent to shock. A man/ woman who legitimately has to pee in public will probably be charged with urinating in public, but not indecent exposure. I am arguing for other cases when breasts/ penis/ vagina are exposed.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 09:50 AM

Arrest, maybe. Sex offender's registry, no. I just don't see flashing breasts as equal to flashing the vagina/ penis in public.

Not American, but I struggle to believe breasts and vagina are equivalently shocking in the eyes of the public/ law. Breasts are pretty regularly seen feeding babies, but maybe that is just in Europe. Choosing to get into a relationship with someone doesn't make you responsible for any bad things theydo to you in that relationship, people can lie. Imagine if the genders were flipped, and it was two men flashing their penises. Not really fair to compare breasts with penises. Women can and have been arrested for flashing their vaginas. The urination one is wierd as fuck idk why she wasn't charged with indecent exposure never heard of a man do that so I have nothing to compare it to.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 09:05 AM

Maybe she wants a taller guy with an uglier face than you.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 08:44 AM

The graph he showed in another comment to prove women lie about not caring about looks had women rating the importance of looks a 7/10 so I don't even think women are saying looks don't matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 08:22 AM

According to the graph they rated looks a 7/10 that is hardly deceptive (?)

"marry a high income man when she wants to" Doubt it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 07:36 AM

Caring about looks and caring about personality aren't mutually exclusive. When you ask people what they look for in a partner attraction is usually assumed and they will talk about other things like personality traits they value. They probably wouldn't date a hot guy just because he's hot but because he has traits she values which make him more attractive to her than other hot guys. Everyone has their own threshold for physical attractiveness. Bald no chin man can probably get with bald no chin…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 07:12 AM

That is such a reach. It just means they value someone who shares their sense of humour/ is quick-witted, both good personality traits. It doesn't mean they are bored or want a dancing monkey.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 06:33 AM

Everyone knows that is the truth.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 06:24 AM

The implications of "systemic and social issues" would be to even the playing field and allocate resources more fairly. I doubt redistributing property/ opportunities among men would make them more attractive to women as being unattractive is not really a systemic/ social issue, it is mostly genetic. The only redistribution that would work would be to force women to spread relationships/ sex more widely hence my comment.

As long as she is held culpable for the results to her life and not to the men she has rejected then I have no issue.

I think most women get horny, but they probably don't have the same drive for sex with another person as a man. I am neutral about most men, they don't register as potential sexual partners at all and I don't think about them sexually. Maybe if they are very physically attractive it would kick-start an attraction, but other than that I feel nothing. Most men seem to think an average man should be attractive to an average woman based on his looks alone, but I don't think it works like that for a …

I mean they don't need a husband to have their own bio kids either so it seems like they are just making themselves unhappy by trying to perform to some outdated standard. Doubt anyone really cares though.

A lot of men here aren't able to question their worldview either (although most I have seen are). The thing is a lot of the debates here end up seeing women as the problem because they are sexually selective and require them to change (date/ sleep with/ marry/ have children with men they are not attracted to) to solve the percieved imbalance of sex/ relationship distribution among men. It is always going to be harder to convince a woman to give up their bodily autonomy/ change what they are attr…

I don't think anyone deserves sex and I don't care why individual men are not having it or think it makes them bad people. I do get annoyed with how some men discuss it (blaming society/ women for rejecting them or having standards they disagree with). They end up sounding very entitled and dismissive of women's bodily autonomy. They are probably just upset, but sex is not a vague/ mythical concept. It involves real people who all want to be there, so the constant complaining can sound like they…

But if only American women think this there must be a reason. Most women in Europe/ other parts of the word don't see it that way so it must be something cultural going on over there.

Majority circumcision an American thing, doesn’t happen as much in other places. I genuinely don't understand why it is pushed so heavily there, probably women as mothers are being fed some type of propaganda (if they're the ones pregnant/ attending most of the child's medical appointments/ making most of the child's medical decisions). I assume the healthcare system is pushing it for some reason.

You do not make an effort to find/ build relationships with your preferred gender, but you have the potential to do so. Someone might be single "by choice" if they don't want a relationship or if they only make low-effort attempts to find a relationship (only using OLD, especially with a low effort profile, only going to the bar to pick up women/ men, not building and maintaining a network of positive social connections with friends/ colleagues/ the community which would give them social proof, …

How old is the woman? A woman in her early to mid 20s probably neither. A woman in her late 20s, or in her 30s, I guess the first one, but he has some red flags. Most introverts have some kind of social presence/ status in their community even if they don't go out as much as extroverts. If she is in her mid- late 40s maybe the second guy, but more likely neither. She would probably want someone around her age, average in looks like her and average in his job to feel comfortable. Abortion rights are solely related to pregnancy and birth which only affects women. It is 100% her choice because no-one should be forced to go through that unwillingly. Child support is not a threat to a man's bodily autonomy, so it is not the same. It may be a threat to his autonomy, but that is a different issue unrelated to a woman's right to an abortion.

Men and women are different. We are a sexually dimorphic species. Men and women are different, but it is not a binary difference. They are also very similar (as they are from the same species and have many shared roles). Sexually dimorphic just means producing different gametes/ having a differnt role in reproduction/ survival, but a lot of things are shared between the sexes/ genders. Since we are different we have different standards. And there is no contradiction in these standards. No. Since…

Societal standards. A lot of signs of age that are considered acceptable/ attractive in men aren't viewed the same way for women. Grey hair (men with grey/ white hair may be called a 'silver fox'. There is no equivalent term for women used to the same extent in society). Wrinkles/ laughter lines (the media is more likely to photoshop these out of pictures of older women, but leave them for older men as it can be seen as 'distinguished'). It's totally fine to want both things, but boundaries are based on your own actions not other people's (aka I won't date someone/ I will break up with someone who does these things). It's also fine for women to do these things even if it upsets their partner, it's on you to have boundaries about what you accept in a relationship. Same with women not wanting their partners to watch porn. You can't control him, but you can choose to not date/ break up with someone who does those things.

I am assuming this is from apps and I would say this is pretty accurate and makes a lot of sense as a dating strategy to find the best match. If there is a lot of attraction (not just physical, but across the profile as a whole) she will prioritise you over other matches/ other parts of her life. If the attraction is lower she will prioritise other matches/ other parts of her life over you. I don't doubt that some women can be rude when rejecting a man (insulting him) but there is nothing wrong with women being unfriendly/ cold in their rejection. Saying something blunt like "I'm not interested" or "I'm here with my friends" or "I have a boyfriend" could be seen as standoffish, but with strangers there is no requirement to be friendly for either men or women. People who try sell you stuff/ get you to sign up for stuff in the street or cold callers can be very friendly, but a lot of…
