-3	It's called child support. I am saying that any bidirectional consent would cause said issues above, even if just between married couples as you suggested. Husbands beat their wives, that is just a fact, and often because of pregnancies. The way the laws are now make it MUCH easier for a woman fearful for her life to escape a potentially violent confrontation with said spouse. You fail to see the giant hole in your solution here, and it is quite simply that requiring the husband's consent to get an abortion you will create many more home abortions and increased domestic abuse issues. One of the MAIN reasons male consent was removed all together was because the pregnant women feared for the safety of the child or herself because of an unwanted pregnancy.
