3	Why does no one care about male genital mutilation (circumcision) ? I can maybe offer a different perspective. I underwent adult circumcision when I was in my early 20s nearly 10 years ago. Was in the hospital for only a day and had the stitches in for what I remember to be about 3-4 weeks. I was sexually active before and am with the same partner all these years. I was suffering from phimosis, so the foreskin was too tight making sex painful.
