If it is some bullshit you don't want to deal with it man. It sounds like she's in a tumultuous relationship and you should let them figure it out without making things more complicated. If you really like her text her in 3 months and see if she's single, but either way for now you should move on.

"He wasn't writing a research paper. He was writing an op ed piece about his sex life. He didn't really have one, so he made one. Huge difference." He didn't perform a real academic experiment. He's just calling it an experiment for the purposes of the title of the post.

If you're unsure, work indirect game and ask a question along the lines of "are you still in school?" at some point. If she's too young just eject with the plausible deniability intact. You're not going to lose your job for asking a girl what kind of coffee she's drinking or telling her you think the park you're in would be better with a giant fountain of a dolphin in it.

Hey thanks so much for putting this together man. It's awesome to see the perspectives of someone with a little more life experience. 38, professionally successful, with interesting hobbies like guitar playing and rock climbing is a great place to be in life and it seems like you've got the attitude to capitalize on who you already are.

This is awesome man. You identified your emotions, you made an assertive decision and then you expressed your feelings calmly and maturely. It's excellent that you were able to end a relationship without being accusatory and that you handled her childish victim playing like an adult. Further, it seems like both of you had a positive impact on each other's lives and that's really the way relationships should be. Letting someone you care about go is always hard; thanks for sharing this with us.

They should just be called socializing cars to reduce the stigma of desperation around anything exclusively for singles.

Because there is a creepy way to approach women and it does happen a lot and it can be really bothersome. It comes back to the concept of value. If you were doing your job and five times a day people were coming up to you and saying "your hair looks fake, what's your number?" or "I'd like to see you're clothes on my bedroom floor" it would drive you insane. Because that's lame; you don't want to be treated like a sex toy or a pawn in a game, and the guys saying things like that are losers: they'…

Yes, we're all people, there are a few biological differences, but mainly women just have different societal standards imposed on them.

Another major thing the media does poorly is illustrate the importance of communication. Characters on tv will do pretty much anything except actually talk about their problems with the person they're having the issue with. The most important thing you can do to maintain a long term relationship is communicate. Straight up saying "When you did _, it made me feel _. Can we talk about that?" And that never, ever happens on tv.

I agree with this. Don't lie to people to pretend to have higher status. Lying about your lifestyle is easily discovered and a huge sign of insecurity.

Lol agreed. The only piece of actual information in this post was "text the girl 30 minutes after you meet her"

She's not a bitch she just doesn't like you and you move on.

Lol the entire society of women is trying to improve themselves for themselves and for us. It's just not underground.

I think this post is more along the lines of "don't lead her on just because the attention feels good"

I think I misunderstood your first comment. We both agree that paying for the date is an outdated, unnecessary custom. I think where we differ is that I think there's enjoyment to be had just in the experience of the date, and it seems like you view the date as more of a means to the end of hooking up. Anyway you have a right to your opinion and I respect it.

Absolutely awesome bro. The only thing you could have improved on is ended the date before she says "I have to go" (the whole leave her wanting more thing). But wow, keep it up!

I agree with this: People (and women) all the time state ideals that they claim to value but then completely disregard them in favor of emotions. I don't think that her friend was trying to say "she doesn't like that you're confident", it's probably more along the lines of "she doesn't feel comfortable with you right now" I think that OP is being too harsh with his wit and it's making this girl not trust him

You did okay, you started weak but you did better toward the end. 1.As a rule of thumb it's better to state things than to ask for them. So "We're hanging out on Saturday" is better than "When are going on that date?" In this conversation you can see yourself, you kept asking her "why do you think ____" and she kept blowing you off, and then when you made the decision for her, you (kind of) got her to be interested. Basically, most women, like most people, don't really know what they want. So ev…

Your problem isn't your sexuality. It's that these girls are afraid of just being another hook up on "your list". IE: they want to believe that you like them because they are special, and right now you've been with so many girls that it doesn't seem that way. Some girls will go for just sex flings but others, even just for a hook up relationship, want to feel unique or exceptional. What you need to do is make them qualify themselves and then explain what it is about them (can be physical/sexual)…

I go to an a catholic school (all male) so I got you. Your best bet at our age is to build as large a social circle as possible. This will 1. make you more valuable to girls and 2. get you a lot of experience, which at out age is essential (the instruction can only take you so far- the best way to figure out what works best for you is to learn through trial and error) Your problem right now is you don't have enough reasons to leave the house. So fix that. Start doing things. Like sports? Join a …
