If he has stated clearly in the beginning where an abortion is still possible, that he does not want a child nor pay for it then obviously he shouldn't have to. Same if he wasn't even aware of the pregnancy.

I worded it wrong, of course I think anyone should leave as soon as there is fear. But everyone is different and some people stay and sort it out if it was just a freak mistake. We know in our heart what's right to do and you had to leave. We don't know eachother so it is impossible for you to know whether I am generous or not.

I am sorry, you are right. I should have stopped at fear. Of course I agree with that but worded it wrong. And no, I don't see a man as being a wallet. I've never expected that of any man I've been with, it has always been equal and I'm trying to be as generous as I possibly can be.

Well I am a feminist and wouldn't suggest you to forgive the abuser as such (maybe in the future when you are safe and far away from her, forgiving can make you more at ease. Never healthy to hold on to anger). Leave if that's what you need to do, if you feel you are in danger and it might happen again, of course leave and never look back. It doesn't matter if it is a woman or a man doing the beating or verbal abuse - as soon as there is fear and no hope for change you leave.
