I have a friend who is a police officer, but he is a heavy believer in the rights of citizens. We had a conversation about "not talking to cops" and he agrees it's a good idea if you can tell that you're a target of investigation. He said if a cop has just showed up to the sceen and is trying to get his bearings about what is going on then it is in your best interest to cooperate; however, once the questions turn accusatory toward you then you should lawyer up.

The red flag for me was this line: She went into my room and threw things around and then came back in with a large trash bag and started throwing pretty much everything I owned away. Thankfully I had an old laptop in another room but I have to be really sneaky to use it. It's as if he wrote the first part then thought, "Oh crap. Then how do I explain being able to post to reddit?" So he wrote the second part to get out of it.

Why do you and your wife have a changed relationship? I'm not accusing, I'm genuinely curious. If I was falsely accused of rape, I'd tell me wife "This woman falsely accused me of raping her!" and she'd say "Lets do whatever we can to clear your name." There wouldn't be a single moment of doubt in her mind because she knows I'm not capable of such a thing. So, is there something else going on that I'm not thinking about?

She blinks at the fact that the vast majority of child abuse is committed by women, and that a child is more likely to choke on pretzels than to be sexually molested by a man. Do you have some stats for that? I'd love to use this. I've seen that 53% of abusers are women.

Logical fallacy subject to Reductio ad absurdum. If male is the only stipulation needed for true consent, then why stop at 8 years old? That means a 5 year old male can consent to sex. 1 year old. 3 month old male. Heck, you don't even need to learn how to talk but you can still consent because your penis says yes. Even if it's hidden behind your diaper.

This is what I love about /r/mensrights. Even if something may not be MRA related, we are not afraid to be intellectually honest about our position and how it relates (or doesn't) to the issue at hand. There is no ham-fisting every single issue to make ourselves seem persecuted when we are not.

Did no one read the article? he said all students, whether female or male, are prevented from having bags, purses, satchels and backpacks in the core classrooms like English and math. The bags must be stored in lockers during class time, he said This isn't about gender discrimination if what he says is true. The kid broke school policy by having it in class. The key is, do they enforce this policy ONLY with males and not females?

I find that men who help in the nursery usually have young children of their own and are active fathers. My child gets plenty of maternal influence in her life. I like balance.

I was visiting a church when my wife and I took our 4 month old daughter to the nursery. We were talking to the nursery director about the facilities and staff when she said, "We have a rotating volunteer staff of people we know very well. We do have a couple of men on the rotation, though." She said this and gave a wince, like they had done something wrong by having men on the nursery rotation. I said, "We don't mind men helping at all. In fact, I'd prefer it." She gave me a very puzzled look.

I like to hope not. Personally, I don't think he did. The girl was the type who LOVED attention to herself, no matter what kind. Is it possible that he did? Yeah. Is there proof? No. Was it likely? No.

I had a friend who was accused of touching a 16 year old girl through her jeans. Nothing else. He claimed until the day the put him in prison that he didn't do it, and he got 7 years.
