Exactly its not that nice guys are being the bare minimum of nice is just that being boring no matter how nice/good of person you are will really change attractiveness past a certain point. Reminds of the people who dedicate their whole lives to helping people to the point where its all they can really think about.

Thats exactly what I am saying, people talk about things they want to talk about, nobody forces anyone to say/respond to anything. If the topic is related to the sub and people want to talk about then who cares if it was a troll post/posted with malicious intent. I mean its a simple concept that everyone understands, everyday theres a thread here that barely gets 15 comments, why? Because people choose not to post in it.

there was like at least 400 comments on average per incel thread, which blows every single thread on the front page right now away. I think saying a passionate few is just being dishonest about how popular they were.

Doesnt that seem kind of forced? I mean if we're going to accept that there are some people that will never have a relationship then why not accept the fact that some people might never be happy? I dont expect child soldiers or kids born into starvation in some third world country to be able to find happiness so if a person truly feels that a life without romance/love is worthless then why not let them accept it?

You can approach this from an idealistic or pragmatic view. Obviously this is mostly subjective but generally most people would agree that in a perfect world attraction for all parties would be based solely on altruistic characteristics or at least solely on things that reflect one's personality(hair color to an extent, clothing, any characteristic that an individual can pick and choose to reflect who they are). So in a sense the world does need to change, I mean people are always going to try t…

Think of hardcore gamers as old timey Americans, if they notice any genera trends based off race or sex or location or whatever they will form opinions based off those characteristics. Of course there's confirmation bias but most aren't going to think that far. Nowadays I would say most people don't really prejudge women because they are so rare, now if your speaking Spanish or have an accent then get ready for some Peruvian hate.

Incel: When most people say incel they mean people who posts on r/incel, average human adult, has friend(s), a job, has some experience with the opposite sex (like dates, holding hands, etc). Pretty much an average dude who has had no sexual experience or just a long dry spell. Foreveralone: People who have failed catastrophically as humans. No friends, very little social experience. Think the kid who ate his lunch in the bathroom in high school 5, 10, 15 years down the line, or people with some…

Is that even really considered a legitimate privilege? I feel like that's like saying "white people are privileged because they get tax exemptions when their net worth equals a billion dollars." Don't those requirements seem kinda basic? I mean can you even be hot without make-up while being obese? Wouldn't most women inherently be submissive? It's a common thing I hear from girls who use tinder/okc is that they're really on there for the confidence boost. Knowing that people find you attractive and often that the internet allows no doubt inflates one's ego, especially for women since in a general sense a lot of their confidence does come from their looks.

Because people are fucking stupid so they generalize a whole group of people based off a few. First off incels and people who post in incels aren't foreveralone. Second somehow literally like 5 people who spam posts numerous threads manage to get all of foreveralone/incels, whatever your choice of term is, generalized. People suck. We live in an imperfect world and people's attraction are driven by mostly instincts and not by virtue. A large percentage of the human population live in poverty and people rationalize everything. I chose to be myself even if that means being foreveralone is a by product, I suggest doing what you find the most important and disregard everything else.

Not really a view since its a fact that people who arent a part of the red pill have a good sex life. While I dont like TRP I can see how it would make some men more attractive/get them laid. TRP is quick and dirty, hate does give one a certain kind of confidence that the majority people can achieve apposed to the bluepill thought process of like women as humans but dont like them too much. I did, I figured they were just trying to expand on their original point i.e. the title so I decided to answer the title and not specifically the text. But my original point still stands nonetheless unless the girl in question has like a severe underbite or something if they have a plain face, white skin/bone structure, and are not overweight/chubby then you are a 6 to the average male at the very least. You make what they have sound so simple. Fact is that they do possess charisma and to a large degree at that. I would say they are the life of the party and while im not trp if I was to use their terminology then they definitely lean more towards the alpha side.

I doubt a majority of foreveralones would believe that cause a a major of being foreveralone is having no friends/social life so it would be no romantic life and no social life. Can you give more details for your question? Are we talking about an 18 year old? 25? 30? Cause I doubt any normal not past 30 could stay sane if they knew they would never ever have someone have romantic/sexual feelings for them.

Isn't the best version of yourself completely subjective? Is going for the muscular look an improvement on the skinny in a band look? Long hair or short hair? Should my likes align with the lowest common denominator in society? I feel like when you say best version of yourself you're just saying appease the most amount of people possible.

FA != incel, people use it so interchangablely that when an "incel" i.e a guy hasn't gotten laid in 6 months or is a virgin but everything else in their life is great does something FAs are generalized along side with them even when they are completely different.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/16 05:57 PM
1

No? People talk about it because it's a hot topic that involves a lot of discussion. Sure I agree that if one day the front page has the word incel in every sentence then maybe there's a problem but 2-3 threads a day means people are interested in talking about it. Otherwise the thread would only get like 30 comments like most threads people don't really care about talking about.

For guys I would compare masterbating to eating instant noodles or a bland homemade sandwich, once in a blue moon it tastes great but for every other day you're just doing it cause you're just hungry. It's not something you really want to do, instead of scratching my itches I'd rather not have the itches in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/16 11:39 PM
2

Which is the problem with using incel and foreveralone/unwanted interchangablely because then everyone just assumes it's all about the lack of sex, like they have a normal life except that. An incel is just someone who can't have sex for any plethora of reasons for an extended period of time while an FA/FU is an incel but also includes an extended period of almost complete isolation/social experience of a middle schooler or a high schooler. I don't like bringing up "incel" topics nor do I usuall…

/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/16 08:16 PM

I feel like this is the crux of the problem too. As of right now people considers someone a nice guy if they show any ill-intent to a woman concerning dating. The frat dude that berates and kicks out women as soon as he realize they won't sleep with them is put on the same level as the dude that complains on Facebook about how women only likes assholes.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/16 03:28 AM

Yah losing not your virginity in high school obviously sucks because it pretty much means you weren't part of any "popular/cool" crowd but it's not that bad at all. You're expected to catch up in the next 2 years, give or take. Now graduating college or just making it to like 23-24 while being a virgin, especially a kissless virgin, is pretty much a death sentence if you plan on being honest about yourself unless they are extremely desperate.

If theyre 21 then usually they're nearing the end of college and if they are going by the real definition of FA then that means they most likely had no meaningful relationships through middle school, high school, and finally college. If one can make it all the way through college with no friends or meaningful relationships then its only natural to assume that there is a very decent chance that they will be foreveralone for the rest of their lives. FA does mean incel, it's one of the few things on the sub right now that's a hot topic. If you're having ONS and still feel lonely then you're better off going to r/lonely and not foreveralone, a sub for people who are forever alone. The reason a decent portion of FAs don't really stay FA is because they're not really FA. Did I ever imply that they were equal? All I said was ANYTHING that fell under the category of physical traits that are generally not considered attractive (assuming United States). It can range from being short, black, having scars, only one leg, micro-penis, whatever. You're right that there are people who are genuinely attracted to smaller height but I'm mostly basing my argument on the idea that a majority of women that date short men is because their other traits make up for it, but that's besides the point as I can just as easily replace short men with burn victims, amputees, etc, just anything that is generally not considered attractive. I would argue that it's being rejected for things you can't really change. Using an easy example, say if someone didn't want to date me because I liked going out all the time and they liked staying in most days of the week then that's completely understandable and I wouldn't lose no sleep nor hold a grudge against said person. One of the problems of this subreddit is that people operate on different variations of terms. Some equate beta to omega while others equate beta to pretty much everyone else that isn't alpha. When people say incel I assume they mean incels like the people at foreveralone while others equate it to people who are still virgins but have friends and a somewhat limited social life. So I agree that the incels in your text arent really involuntary celibate but I would argue against that chubby sociall…

The problem with that is that someone who genuinely wants to help as much people as they can will appear no different from someone who sounds like a doormat. The former is being punished for the formed opinions of the latter. Its just like nice guys vs nice guys tm, nice guys are legitimate nice guys who do good things cause they want and they feel that one of their best qualities is that they're nicer than most people but are punished because they're lumped in the same group as nice guys tm.

In a sense you are right, I guess I would change it too being somewhat confident is the minimum in general. I keep forgetting that the opinions and thoughts from women on reddit doesn't necessarily represent reality. I think being a good person has its own merit, deciding whether to help someone out or not should not be based on if thats the kind of thing women like. At the end of the day its no different from how men would pick a 9/10 with a dull personality over a 6/10 with a great personality…

I think nice guys base attraction on traits that are generally considered good. That being a good person should not only hold inherent worth on how attractive someone is but their degree of goodness should determine their level of attractiveness. I imagine in most nice guys mind someone like ghandi or jesus should be the object of every girls attention. Yea and no? I think the importance on confidence/assertiveness makes it so as a sexual strategy if you had to choose between being a genuinely really nice guy but passive (think someone who likes to volunteer, help people out but has low confidence when it comes to dating) vs your stereotypical asshole/douche type of guy then the latter would be better. Well i mean everyone (generalization) is interested in money, its just that if you took a bunch of guys and gals and sat them down to ask what characteristics they would like in a dating partner I think more women would mention money or a good job. The analogy I like to use for qualities describing nice, good, or assholish people is through activities. Like normal attractive that aren't too nice and aren't arrgoant/assholish would be football/soccer/martials arts/etc, something a decent amount of people like, not boring, and has an element of danger. Frequently go to r9k and foreveralone, there are numerous threads asking what they want in a woman and most of them always say some variation of this: they have to be alive and like me. Of course thats setting the bar really low but I would argue that a majority of incel/foreveralone people are realistic and youre just generalizing every incel because of a small subset but very vocal group.

Hot girls should get with whoever they want, it's more like I wish the most good-natured people had their ideal/hot bodies. Chances are in this world if you're an extremely good person you're more likely than not a boring person as well, which is a bigger sin in the dating world than being a non-boring asshole.

You don't, hookups/casual sex and active social lives are reserved for normal/average people and above for the most part. I feel like this kind of question is like a starving African child asking how he can escape poverty and live a happy life, through luck? You're fucked from the beginning and it would require a large amount of luck (being born in a great family, making lifelong, loyal friends, or just a good support group) to have the tools to do so.

When people say "I'm a <insert number> year old virgin" in most cases they're just using it as all catch all phrase. Saying you're a 31 year old virgin is a lot easier/simpler way of saying "I haven't had friends since the 9th grade, last time I did stuff with people was 14 years ago, never had a first kiss or date, etc."

Wait is a nice guy tm whatever a beta or omega? I always figured they were betas cause they usually have friends and a facebook so they always have some form of social connection. Anyways I wouldnt say nice guys are necessarily socially inept, more like just ignorant on social norms.

Does this apply to unconventional places too? Like say a magic the gathering tournament or a civil war reanactment or whatever?

Black male. People tell me I look good for being black, if you look at my history enough you'll find a couple pictures. Black and I would change to white easily. I think people think of race in a weird way, since they can't change their race they have no choice but to become extremely prideful in it. I think of race the same way I think of race in like skyrim or choosing your favorite color, in skyrim I choose certain races either because of how they look or their racial bonuses. There are some …

I agree both are shallow but I feel like people are scared to even suggest one side might be more shallow than the other because feelings might be hurt. Like if shallowness could measured in points I doubt that both would be the same total. And I can't really say which is more shallow since my view would be unbelievably skewed with me being incel/foreveralone.

Its pretty common to see stuff like "ONLY GUYS WHO ARE 5"8 OR HIGHER, sorry I just cant date a short man" or "NO BLACK GUYS" at the end of a woman's dating profile, which i find strange cause what if they're attractive and exactly what they're looking for except that one small difference.

I imagine it would be because of the shame of others, nobody is going to pat him on the back for it in this day and age

I'm pretty sure most boys fell for this "lie". Like you see often on the big subreddits, "she only dates douchebags and not nice guys like me." I just think people who were around girls more often, be it family or friends, was dispelled of that myth a lot sooner.

Is the question are all guys faking confidence/hiding insecurities until their insecurities are gone? And if (most) women can look pass a man's insecurities and still date them?

Not BP but yeah, everyone is shallow though it's just that most men have lower standards when it comes to sex.

People always bring this up but I don't think most guys who complain about rejection are going for 8s or 9s. An 8 or 9 is like model status for girls and I can't imagine some 5/6 guy approaching a girl who's as pretty as a Victoria's Secret model. I think it's just the fact that it's common for girls to date guys who are even or higher in looks while for guys it's the opposite

From looking at this thread I feel like people don't consider GNG a real GNG because he lacks confidence or too considerate? I confuse the two.
