Men tend to use things like firearms with greater frequency, opposed to something like pills, which are more commonly used by woman. As you'd expect, a bullet firing into your brain is more effective in general than a handful of pills at killing you, especially when you consider that no matter how many pills you take, you have a window after taking them where you can attempt to expel them.
